I'm going to plan a few brunchy items for us to enjoy together and we will do an egg hunt for Camille. She has had one "practice session" so far, and we sent a lot of time on the drive home from Greenville Saturday talking about anything and everything Easter ... colorful eggs, what's inside, who can find them, what the Easter bunny looks like, how he hops!
beautiful flowers from my baby sprinkle yesterday! |
So, even though this Easter will be pretty low-key for us this year, I'm curious -- will you fill it in the blank for me?
It can't be Easter without _______________.
What's your one must-have?
(I have to confess. My answer is ... a Cadbury creme egg!)
Mini eggs! I am sure C will just love everything about Easter this year. Such a fun age!
ReplyDeleteCadbury mini eggs are my go-to Easter staple! I'll have to hold off this year, though, on the actual holiday.
ReplyDeleteMy glucose test is scheduled for the very next day. Bad timing on my end!
Making a bunny cake! My mom made one every year for our Easter dessert and I have done the same since being married and having kids. I make the cake and ice it and the girls decorate it! It's a super fun and yummy tradition :)
ReplyDeleteHAM! haha I love ham on Easter! Other times of the year I'm not that interested in it, but I do love ham when the bunny comes to town!
ReplyDeleteCadbury mini eggs - hands down! The chocolate ones, not the cream filled though. Hope you have a great one!
ReplyDeleteSunrise service and ham! I have a huge space in my heart for ultra-traditional Easter Sunday hymns too -- "Up From the Grave He Arose" and "He Lives" take me back to my tiny country church upbringing, so I love it when our new (huge and more contemporary) church includes them. On the ham front, I'm planning on hosting a small brunch this Easter so maybe I'll even attempt my first picnic ham!

Ham all the way!
ReplyDeleteI love how you are teaching Camille all about Easter! It must be so neat to see it through her eyes! It cannot be Easter without Jesus. :) But of course, I'd also like some Easter candy and flowers thrown in on the side!
ReplyDeleteIt can't be Easter without...a guys vs. girls scavenger hunt! Every year, Boyfriend's family hosts one, and it's VERY competitive and VERY fun!
ReplyDeleteBanana pudding . You know what recipe I'm talking about :)
ReplyDeleteEaster Dinner complete with ham and all the fix-ins!
ReplyDeleteYep! Me too! Cadbury Eggs!
ReplyDeleteIt can't be Easter without a classic Southern brunch!
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of Peeps!
ReplyDeleteSpring dresses! I'm hoping it will be warm enough for it without freezing my bunny tail off!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I was going to say! My dress is sleeveless this year, so I may be accenting with a sweater or jacket!
DeleteIt't can't be easter without Peeps! Easter has the best darn candy!!
