Five On Friday!

It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join along!

Remember, all you have to do is post about five things on your mind, add our logo (found at the bottom of this post), and join the party using the linky tools below. Easy, and a great way to find new blogs and be found. :)

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I've been saving my Pinatagram for this fun day and Camille is SO excited to break into it!

Fun fact: I was originally due with Camille on Cinco de Mayo! I ended up having her 9 days late on May 14, but I thought I was going to be the coolest mom in the world by having her on a day meant for drinking margaritas. (Yes, I thought I'd give birth on my due date ... sooooo wrong.)

If we are friends on Snapchat, you may have seen my videos yesterday about Walmart's online grocery pick-up service. It is seriously my new BFF. Not every Walmart offers it, but there's one about 15 minutes from my home that does. Not only does it help me stay in budget -- I'm really trying to stay close to $100/wk -- but their customer service has also been quite surprising. It's been amazing.

Yesterday I was set to pick up Pull-Ups and diapers in my grocery order, but they were apparently out of stock on both of my options, so they bumped me up to the next quantity at no additional charge. I got 74 Pull-Ups for the cost of 25 and 88 diapers for the price of 56!

Oh, and on my first pick-up they gave me a welcome tote that had all sorts of freebies in it like granola bars, soup, snacks. I'm completely sold.

I have a referral link that YES IT EARNS ME $10 IF YOU USE IT but heyyy, it also takes $10 off of your first order, so I promise you that I'm passing it along from the goodness of my own heart. If you'd like to try it out, click here.

Moral of the story? Shop from your computer. Pull to the side of Walmart and use the kiosk to enter your last name. Your groceries are loaded into your car. FREE. No tips accepted. Save time. Save money. Moms -- did I mention not unbuckling your kids from their carseats? Not having to hear whining about an Elsa blanket, the cosmic brownies, the neon green slime that you're not buying them? Sold.

  2. I am totally and completely obsessed with Walmart's Grocery Pickup service! I used to always shop at Kroger and was a "Never Walmart" girl, but I'm telling you, I have saved *so* much money by not getting distracted and purchasing ancillary things, as well as through their lower prices. It's awesome!

  5. I haven't tried the Wal-Mart pick-up service yet, but I want to. Is there a limited selection of products or can you choose from anything that they sell in the store?

  6. Thank you for the Wal-Mart pick-up referral! That's AWESOME!

  7. The Walmart deal sounds awesome but I am scared to even go near the parking lot ... always so much crime happening around that store! :(

  8. Wow what awesome service from Walmart! We don't have one close to where we live if you can believe it, but I wish we did. I'd love to know more about how you stay within a $100 budget for the week. Does that include all household things like diaper, paper towel, cleaning products etc? I have trouble staying within $150 for just food. I'm terrible at budgeting at the grocery store.

  9. I sooooo wish our Walmart had the pick-up service. I keep checking back to see if it is offered in my area, but sadly it is not! :(

  10. The Walmart pick-up service sounds great! My sister-in-law actually told me about it, too, but for whatever reason I haven't tried it yet. Might need to rectify that this weekend! I have used Harris Teeter's home shop service, but they usually charge $5 (sometimes it's free if you spend over $100 - easy peasy!). I probably would have paid any amount when I had a toddler and a newborn in tow though!

  15. Walmart pick-up is the best thing ever. I actually ran in there to get a plant and then swung around to pick up my groceries today! I physically can't grocery shop any other way now. HA! Those headbands are too cute. Happy Friday and thanks for the fun linkup! xoxo ERIN
