In summer 2013, we got a bit of a wild hair and bought this:
About three months later, saw this:
We continued to enjoy the car during my pregnancy, but once Camille was here, outings together in it were rare. Whenever we were able to sneak in a date night, we really enjoyed taking the Porsche. It was a way to feel a little carefree, like it was just the two of us. Top down, wind in our hair.
So long, date night car. It was a fun ride.
Wow, beautiful car! Bet it was hard...yet responsible to say good-bye ;) You've got your precious cargo now.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you told the story! I think we're going to have to make a similar decision soon with my car...I'm not sure I can fit a car seat in it, and our little baby is on her way in October. It's hard, but definitely worth it!
ReplyDeleteWorth it for sure. Hope you are feeling great!
DeleteYou can fit a carseat in the back of the 911 :) Not that we don't feel a bit ridiculous driving around in a sports car with our 2-year-old...
ReplyDeleteAww! Bigger and better things though, right? ; ) Love that you got a pic of Camille with it before it was gone- great memories!
ReplyDeleteJust needed 3 cars! Never let go of the adult fun car! lol
ReplyDeleteI will say that we do miss having a third car. It was so convenient when one of our cars was in the shop!
Deleteahhh so fun! but a baby is more fun I'm sure :) It's nice you got to enjoy it for a while. What car will you get next?

Au revoir, Porsche! You guys got to enjoy it for a while, and maybe one day you'll get to enjoy another one. But for now, it's Cozy Coupes all the day long:)
