What A Weekend.

Ian and I had a fantastic weekend together.  It was one of those sort of weekends where we were just attached at the hip like lovestruck teenagers and loving every minute of it.  After he returned from his week-long training session in Florida, we were thrilled to just relax on the couch, watch TV, and eat Chinese take-out on Friday night.  We caught up with each other and also with our guilty pleasure ... Jersey Shore!  Saturday we went to our favorite local pub for dinner where I had my first pumpkin beer of the season that was rimmed in cinnamon.  YUM!

Sunday Ian and I took the lightrail into uptown Charlotte and grabbed lunch out before heading to the Panthers vs. Packers game.  Our Panthers didn't come away with a win, but whatever, we had a blast!

And our seats were not too shabby in the least!  We split PSL tickets with friends this year.

The halftime show was a marching band from Western Carolina that played Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Flo Rida.  Seriously.

And afterwards, Ian and I went to a Scottish pub named Molly McPherson's to grab a beer and let the lightrail traffic die down before we headed home.

Did you celebrate National Cheeseburger Day on Sunday?  We pulled out all the stops ... dinner was grilled burgers with big slabs of melted brie cheese, sweet potato fries, and baked beans.  Yep, I am still full!

  13. I feel like a terrible Cheeseburger lover for not celebrating. Also, you and Ian are like one of those "look good in every picture" couples! Glad you had such a great weekend with him. M and I had a great weekend like that too, minus the fun activities that you had.
