Weekend Recap, Part I: Date Night

On Friday night, Ian and I enjoyed a date night with dinner at Zink, a delicious restaurant in the South Park area of Charlotte.  We both began the evening with a cocktail, and my grapefruit caipirinha was out.of.this.world.

So I wore the new Anthropologie dress I got just the day prior on my business trip.  Mom always loves that I buy something new and wear it immediately.  I just can't help myself!


We sat on the patio and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.  Pleasant and crisp.  Why, hello Fall, we see you around the corner!

A DJ was playing music in the background ... you can see him below the Zink sign.


We shared the mussels for an appetizer and each got flatbread pizzas for dinner. They were thin, crispy, and perfect. Mine featured fig and prosciutto. Hungry yet?


Tomorrow I'll post about Saturday's adventures ... a girlfriend getaway to the lake.  TOO much fun!

And finally, just wanted to leave you with this.  This was taken yesterday evening before Drake and I went out for a walk (as you can see, he refers to them as "walks").  We should all be this excited about exercise, right??

    My two boys definitely want to go on walks with Drake. Seriously, they heard this and started running around and barking at me!

    Ohmygoodness--could Drake be ANY more adorable? Love the anthro dress--one of my friends wore theirs to a wedding this weekend...so it's fun to see in both environments. And even though its 8am, that pizza sure looks good :) oxo

    I always wear things really soon after purchase, too! My mom will have clothes with tags on them hanging in her closet for a year or more!

    Drake is adorable! My Riley gets so excited when he hears the word walk, too! Love, love, love that Anthro dress - when I buy something new I always wear it immediately as well! Just can't wait!

    love that anthro dress! super cute! and drake is adorable. my pup talks and jumps around whenever we pick up his leash. it's his version of "walks".
