Moving Online?!

Yesterday I had 90 kid-free minutes so I racked my brain for things I don't necessarily love doing with my girls.

I'd already been to the grocery store the day prior, so I thought ... DRESSING ROOM. I need to take advantage of a kid-free dressing room. No more legging knees covered in dust-bunnies or me fretting over the possibility of a stray straight pin poking someone. No more checkout line meltdowns or pleas to buy anything (and I mean anything) with a princess or sparkles on it.

My maternity wear leaves a little to be desired, but yesterday I wore some non-maternity leggings and a piko top that I've owned for a few years from The Palm Tree Boutique. Just did a quick search and see that they now carry a v-neck version and I love THIS one in olive green. And of course, my Ja-Vie flats and Laura Cox Designs necklace.

After wandering around and trying to scout the maternity section, I asked an employee who told me that the line was being phased out of stores! BUMMER! I know I can always order online, but I'm a "try-on" kinda gal (because let's be honest, I'm horrible with actually making returns). And small orders don't get free shipping so that's a double bummer. Although I do have the BR credit card so maybe it's waived?

I was lucky, though, with some other finds. They had these NON-maternity high-neck swing tanks and I picked up two. I'm sorry, but I couldn't scout out my sale prices online. I tried!! I bought this dark gray with golden flecks one for $8.49 and a teal one (hanging in the background) for $1.99!

If you do shop online, use code SWEET today for 20% off. That certainly helps!

wearing the XS

Okay, this tankini bathing suit top is still showing as $25 online, BUT my store randomly had this for $0.47?! Of course I bought it!

NOW, if you do like the shape of it but want a steal, then they have this palm leaf one for $4.97 (only available currently in XS and S) and use that code SWEET for 20% off.

I had $10 in rewards from my Banana Republic credit card, so I paid less than $2 for three items!

For the actual maternity wear they still carry online, I'm thinking of treating myself to this dress.

The flutter-sleeve dress (HERE) is so ME and so cute. But what's your vote, gingham or baby blue?

Alright, so what are your thoughts on their maternity line moving to online only? Are we sad, or no love lost?

Don't forget to vote gingham or baby blue, too!

  1. Both are beautiful, but I vote gingham!! I hate when things get phased out in stores at old navy. That happened to a lot of their swimwear last year. I want to be able to see it in person or exchange in person.

  2. I don't have an Old Navy close, so I'm stuck doing everything online :( When I saw your post yesterday I though Old Navy was phasing it out for good! I'm glad I still be able to find some staple pieces online for the time being. I just wish I had an Old Navy here!

  3. Girlfriend, free shipping at $50 so always just order $50 of stuff because it's also FREE RETURNS! Living out here in the sticks that's how I do all my shopping so Gap/ON are faves thanks to the free ship both ways. I love trying things on at home anyways, I think I make more discerning decisions and can also try on with different shoes, etc. I can easily spend $50 on an ON order anyways because I have to try all the sizes (xs, small, petite small, regular length, ankle length, etc.)- sizing is always funky!

  4. I have a Banana card and if you type in MYCARD in the promo code, it is always free shipping!

  6. Gingham!! So sweet and feminine. Perfect for a sprinkle ;) Even though its $50 for shipping, you get free returns so you can order all different sizes and return whatever you hate/doesn't fit; you still get the free shipping if you don't keep it all whether or not the kept total is $50+. Bummer that they are constantly shifting to online..seems like that is the way of the future for many places, though.
    You look amazing, mama!!

  8. I know by having an ON card I can receive free shipping on anything with a promo code. I see someone else already commented that BR card has it as well. That's definitely the way to go and it's free returns. You're able to print out the return slip right from the computer.

  9. Baby blue since you're having a boy💙! I also think it'd be cute for a sprinkle with your leopard ja-vie's and a cute cardigan and you'll be set😉!

  10. I think the gingham would look great on you, and then you can have fun with different cardigans, etc. Thank you for your lovely blog--I love seeing a new post!

  11. I'm a Tarheel so naturally I'm voting baby blue with a cute Twine & Twig necklace! Both are super cute and you would make a brown bag look cute!!

  12. I love the gingham for spring! I did use ON maternity (although it was hit or miss for me), but it was nice to have an inexpensive option. Interesting that they are phasing it out - I wonder if Gap will keep their line?

  13. I'd vote for gingham. I think they usually have a really big sale around President's day, and possibly free shipping (don't quote me on that though). I'm making a list of things to stock up on if/when they do run that sale!

  14. I'm super sad the maternity line is only online too! I went into the store and had the same reaction. I think both dresses are so cute, but I can't resist gingham!!
