TGIF! I'm sitting here drinking coffee, listening to the sound of the dishwasher, and waiting for Camille's clock to turn green at 7:30. We plan to get out this morning while the weather is still cool enough to play. We are excited to celebrate my sweet sweet nephew turning one this weekend. Thompson, seems like it was just yesterday we were meeting your sweet face! With your full head of hair!

Ian was home early enough yesterday (while the girls still had 45 minutes left in naps) that I had enough time to run down the road to freshen up my gel manicure. I was home with great looking nails again only ten minutes after they woke up. Win.

I tried a new color this time -- I'm branching out for the summer! I went with Hotter Than You Pink which is a fun neon color. Maybe a little more translucent than I was hoping for, but maybe next time I'll ask for the bottom layer to be an opaque color -- even like an opaque white to make the color really pop.

They also have the non-gel version from OPI here on Amazon if you like the color but prefer a regular polish manicure.

Operation: Blue Front Door continues and we had a slight delay this week due to rain in the forecast. Next week will have us saying buh-bye to our dark wood entry and hello to a totally new look which will hopefully look so pretty with our red brick and American flag out front.

Many of you know that I am now a distributor for LipSense which is a long-lasting, smudgeproof lipstick. It's honestly the best lip product I've used. Not only because it lasts, but also because it naturally exfoliates your lips with regular use ... my lips look like I'm about 12 years old again!

Lastly, wanted to share this little gift I gave Camille before we left for Jamaica last week. I wanted her to have something in our absence so she wouldn't feel sad. She recently moved from having a very small toddler pillow in her bed to using a standard pillow, so I ordered her this colorful pillowcase that has Ariel and Sleeping Beauty on one side and Palace Pets on the other side. It's a cheapie from Amazon (HERE) and she was so excited to open it! I told her she could cuddle her pillow any time she missed us.
