It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join along!
Remember, all you have to do is post about five things on your mind, add our logo (found at the bottom of this post), and join the party using the linky tools below. Easy, and a great way to find new blogs and be found. :)
O N E
I have to share a wardrobe item that has been a favorite recently. A few years back, my mom bought me a Papillon bamboo scarf. It is seriously the softest, coziest wrap and it can be worn tons of ways. (Hmm, maybe I can do a blog post about that...) The bamboo gives it great heft so it just feels great on. The pattern Mom chose for me is a yellow and white geometric print. I actually wore it home from the hospital! I recently purchased a second one in a red and white pattern. It's awesome for concealing a tummy and nursing, too!
I wore my red and white Papillon scarf yesterday with an aqua tee, a turquoise necklace I made years ago, and some ankle-length jeans with gold sandals.
My favorite places to find these scarves online are Amazon (here is the exact page) and Ebay (here).

I shared this photo on Snapchat. Here's $64 worth of groceries from Aldi! I just love shopping there each week. I also forgot to include a HUGE clamshell of organic mixed greens in this photo -- it was just $2.49. Yep, for organic greens!

Gratuitous baby photo. (I have to whisper this next part as not to jinx it...) She has slept through the night twice and most nights just wakes once around 4 or 5am to feed. WE ARE SO LUCKY.
F O U R
I've still been making lots of baby/child hairbows and just selling them locally instead of doing as many sales on Instagram. But I miss selling to my IG friends and interacting with them that way, so I am going to start posting bows more often on that platform. I'm especially excited about these larger boutique bows I've been making, shown with a standard bow below for size comparison!
TGIF y'all, and hope you will join in on Five on Friday this week! Cheers to the weekend!
We love Aldi! Yesterday was the first time I took both boys there {it's just too much switching carts, packing up bags with Wyatt in the infant carrier}, well he recently got upgraded to cart status & you should have seen the ruckus that my boys were causing sitting next to each other in the cart. It was the sweetest! We received lots of smiles & even some laughs. haha! Yay for Aldi!
ReplyDeleteEEK!!! Your little girl looks so precious!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the looks of that scarf! And Charlotte sounds like a dream baby...would love to hear more about her schedule and your tricks/tips for getting her to sleep through the night already!
ReplyDeleteThat scarf looks amazing - I think I need one now! I'm still eyeing those JaVie flats you posted about forever ago, too. You're going to make me broke, girlfriend ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that scarf! I'm a big Aldi shopper as well and it always surprises me now when I shop at other stores how much of a difference it is. YAY for Charlotte making it through the night and those bows are gorgeous! Have a wonderful weekend! Jess at Just Jess
ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal for groceries! I don't know if we have an Aldi near by - when I lived in Texas, they had HEB and the groceries were a STEAL. I miss it so much. ~Hannah (www.HannahAtHomeBlog.com)
ReplyDeleteI meant to comment on Insta- love the boutique bows! If DH did not trash her bows/lose them like crazy I would be first in line. Instead I have to buy mass made in China ones off Amazon due to bow budget.
ReplyDeleteLOVE ALDI! Where can you get a full cart of groceries for 100 bucks? They had a sav blanc I loved for 7 bucks, but it's been out for a while. So I've tried the Kelly's crossing sav blanc for 9 bucks, and it is amazing. Love that brie too:)
ReplyDeleteI wish we had that store around here! I had NO idea there was a plumping version of that gloss - I'll definitely have to snag it now! Love the larger bows! Happy weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour little girlie is too precious. I used to make all of my daughters bows. (I only ever bought ONE) She had 3 long bow hangers behind her door with over 60 bows on them.♥ That scarf IS REALLY cute! L♥VE it!
ReplyDeleteLove the new bow style! You know what they say: the bigger the bow, the better the mama:) I have STILL not made it over to my Aldi, but every time you do a post mentioning them, it reminds me that I really need to!
ReplyDeleteGreat Aldi's haul. I too love shopping there.
ReplyDeleteGreat Aldi's haul. I too love shopping there.
ReplyDeleteOK! Too funny because I just wrote about Aldi's organic stuff in my post too! They have the best prices on organic food! And your little peanut! So cute--and what a good sleeper! We are all about the bows here too and I love your handmade ones!
ReplyDeleteAldi is great!! Can't beat their prices - I am always so surprised when I go to pay at how cheap everything is. I always get my brie cheese there!!
ReplyDeleteI love the new bow style. I kept one of the lilly bows for myself and I wear it all the time! I LOVE it. I have a small head so the kid bows fit really well. hahaha
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf! I wish there was an Aldi closer to us - I need to try to start getting out there more often!
ReplyDeletethose blue bows are so cute! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteYes, girl! Aldi is my go-to! And I will definitely be checking out those scarves for nursing! Too cute!

Bryce's mom gave me a papillon scarf for Christmas a few years ago and I love it! It makes me feel so chic, haha! We've had a few Aldis pop up around town..sounds like I need to check them out!
ReplyDeleteSadly there are no Aldi's near me... I just checked ha. I too feel extremely lucky that Alexa has just been getting up once around the same time as Charlotte. Next step is to put her in her room.... eek! Happy Weekend.
