Last night I had the best time at Supper Club with my girlfriends. We got to see our friend Lori's new gorgeous house. Their master shower is huge and was just calling our name.
And we had the best meal, complete with this huge salad. I wish I'd snapped it from the side so you could see how tall the bowl is. She served it with a lime vinaigrette that was so citrusy and tasty (recipe down below in comments).

I doubled up this week with fun evenings out -- I also had Bunco this week! This is just some of the girls who were there. We had a wonderful time and lots of good appetizers and wine. Plus, I left with $33 in my pocket ... not too shabby.

Heads up! Dabney Lee is on Zulily today and there are some awesome tech-related items at great prices.
My previous storage for baby food was 2oz. containers but that was sort of a pain. I purchased these OXO Baby Blocks from Amazon the other day and I am loving them! They are BPA free, dishwasher safe, freezer safe too. They hold 4oz of food so I can just make the food in my Baby Brezza and then pour it right into these containers. Highly recommend. Even if you don't make your own baby food, you could mix a few pouches or jars together in these containers for a nice-tasting meal for your babe.
TGIF y'all, and hope you will join in on Five on Friday this week! Cheers to the weekend!
That salad looks amazing! Do you know what was in the dressing? Yay for two nights out this week and big big cheers for 10,000+ steps today! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteColleen, just texted my friend and here's the recipe:
Delete1/4 C lime juice (she used more)
1/4 C olive oil
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
1 garlic clove, finely minced
1 tsp jalapeno, finely minced
She just mixed it all in a glass jar. It was delish!
What a yummo salad! It's only 9:30 am but I seriously think I could eat that salad now!:) Sounds like a super fun week with good friends - the very best kind! Hope you have a great weekend, April:)

ReplyDeleteI would love to be part of the fitbit challenge! Bjdanko@vt.edu
ReplyDeletethanks!
I came *this* close to skipping the gym today, but your fitbit challenge has inspired me! So even though I have a fussy baby who threw our schedule off this morning, we are going to make it!….well that, and we have several days of snow threatening us, so it looks like today will be the last day I will be able to go for the next few days :)
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks amaze! would love the citrus dressing recipe! Add me on the challenge, I need it I have been slacking!
ReplyDeleteThose OXO containers are the best! We're out of the pureed baby food stage, but I still use the larger size to store small amounts of leftover veggies and whatnot. They also come in handy for transporting salad dressing - no leaks!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea about salad dressing! And I could also see them being great for packing snacks for Camille for car trips, picnics etc. I really like storing her food in glass containers but I don't like sending glass to daycare. Thanks for your ideas!
DeleteLove OXO brand for baby things!! And please do share the citrus vinegar dressing..... Sounds refreshing! Happy, happy Friday :)
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out Zuilly! It looks like you've had a fun week. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that pic of you and your girlfriends in that huge shower! Too fun
ReplyDeleteThat salad and dressing look amazing. Especially with baby on the way, I've been trying to do a big salad for dinner once a week to up my veggie intake. Looks like this recipe is going to the top of my list.

ReplyDeleteI need to find my old school fitbit and charge it...And then walk
ReplyDeleteGetting ready to start making baby food, do you still recommend the mumi & bubi trays or just go straight to the oxo containers?
ReplyDeleteMumi & Bubi trays for sure for making the food in 1oz portions. And then serve them in the OXO containers! That way, you can mix + match flavors. For example, I sent Camille to daycare today with one breakfast container (2oz pears and 2oz apples) and one lunch container (2oz carrots and 2oz corn). I would recommend using both!
Deleteoh gosh that shower pic!!! so funny. enjoy your weekend!
