We ate right off of the large wooden cutting board, so clean-up was a snap.
From the radishes I grew, we made these little toasts. We had pumpernickel slices which were topped with herbed Boursin cheese and paper-thin slices of the radishes (sliced using a mandolin like this one or this handheld one for $15).
We also enjoyed cucumber cups with spinach-artichoke dip, prosciutto, two kinds of cheeses, sliced plums, and blackberries.
The cheese we got is from Aldi, I love their cheese selection and the prices are on point!
Olives and stuffed mushrooms rounded out the menu. Stuffed mushrooms are a favorite of mine -- we combined some of the spinach-artichoke dip with breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, seasonings, and the chopped up mushroom stems and then just baked until bubbly.
We couldn't finish our tapas dinner, but good gracious it was delicious!
This looks so good! It would be perfect for wine or girls night!! Thanks for the tip on Aldi cheese selection!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! I love apps for dinner and could live on bread and cheese alone!

Appetizers for dinner are the best! In fact, we are doing that tonight!
ReplyDeleteAldi for cheese? I had no idea....I always get cheese at Trader Joes! Which Aldi do you go to?
Nothing better than a Chick Food dinner of apps!! (And hopefully a glass of something that began on the vine).
ReplyDeleteThis is so my kind of dinner! Minimal clean up and a full belly!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that looks delicious! I wish the hubs shared my love of apps! :)
ReplyDeleteI do tapas for dinner a lot - they are the perfect single gal meal! :-) I've never done cucumber cups before, definitely trying that soon.
ReplyDeleteAldi is the bomb when it comes to cheeses! I was shocked when I discovered that!
ReplyDeleteWe had antipasto for dinner tonight and pretended we were in Italy. Even the two year old loves it- although she spit out the goat brie and olives. Boo.
ReplyDeleteI may be the only female who can't do appetizers for dinner - I never feel satisfied without a full meal. My husband, on the other hand, loves a good meat and cheese plate and would eat tapas / appetizers for dinner all the time if I enjoyed it too. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading to Spain tomorrow! Going to eat LOTS and LOTS of TAPAS!
ReplyDeleteThese types of dinners are by far my favorite! I love having a bit of everything and love the idea of mixing sweet and salty flavors like the fruit with cheese. This all looks so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this kind of meal. My husband, not so much. I could easily do this three times a week. So good!
ReplyDeleteYou are speaking my language!!! Most Fridays we do apps and tapas night. If we are at the beach house we do seafood based things, but if we are in Raleigh, we do mostly seasonal things. Top it all off with a bottle of wine and it is a wonderful dinner!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious! I've never thought of doing something like this but it sounds like such a fun change of pace and good idea!
ReplyDeleteyummy!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! This is a different take on our normal tapas dinner so I'll try out some of your ideas next time!
ReplyDeletespinach artichoke dip is heaven in a bowl. and i love aldi too! such steals!
ReplyDeleteI could definitely make that dinner..if only I could get Cameron on board.
ReplyDeleteI prefer appetizers over meals all the time- love what you put together, it looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteCould you please post your recipe for the spinach/artichoke dip?
ReplyDeleteThanks
