(I've added a poll to the righthand sidebar ... I'd love to hear your gender guess - pink or blue? If you are reading in a reader like Bloglovin' or Feedly, click through to the actual post to see the poll!)
How Far Along? 15 weeks
Size of Baby: A navel orange (4.0 inches)
Gender: Next Wednesday is our anatomy ultrasound (i.e. gender appointment!) but we won't find out until the following Sunday. It may be hard to wait, but it will be worth it to be surrounded by some of our closest family and friends!
Weight Gain: Gained a pound, doc will be happy to know! So, still down 2lbs. from starting weight.
Maternity Clothes: My super sweet blogger friend Dee stopped by with some maternity clothes for me, and all I have to say is this: why did I wait so long to wear a BeBand?! Dee hooked me up with a black one and a white one. They are $17 at Target (here) and it sort of feels like a stretchy tube top that you can wear over your unbuttoned, unzipped pants. So, great for pregnant chicks and any chick during Thanksgiving dinner. Go get ya one.
Nursery: Just pinning away some sweet ideas to my Pinterest board -- mostly sophisticated, neutral looks.
Movement: None so far. I've got my hand on my tummy each night to feel for it!
Symptoms: Belly is getting rounder and bigger. Especially after meals. That's my #1 symptom right now!
Sleep: Loving my Snoogle pregnancy pillow and so happy to report that I'm back to sleeping through the night without children's Benadryl at all.
Cravings: Still really loving a once-a-week tuna sub from Harris Teeter with pickles, provolone cheese, banana peppers, lettuce, vinegar and onions ... had one this past weekend and it was glorious. Go figure that the one thing that always sounds great to me, a tuna sub, has to be limited to once a week (mercury content)! Also, Friday was the great fry craving of 2013 that I mentioned. To date, I haven't been as much into veggies, salads especially, as I normally am.
What I Miss: Nothing I can think of. Baby has been very gentle on me and dare I say that the pregnancy to date has been supremely easy and a true joy?!
Best Moment This Week: Working on our small gender reveal! We are going to keep it tiny and intimate and easy. Sweets, sips, and a simple reveal. I spent the weekend working on a tassel garland that is turning out so cute! All invitations went in the mail on Saturday and they look just how I wanted them to.
Looking Forward To: Another relaxing weekend on the books ahead of us ... really doing our best to enjoy the laid-back days of just being a family of two. :)
It's so strange how your down am KB and yet your belly has grown! I find thy fastisinating! The human body is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute! I love hearing your weekly updates :)
ReplyDeleteI am so ridiculously excited for your gender appointment and reveal!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd one pound?! Oh man, I am officially jealous. I'm up to EIGHT! EEK!!! I MUST put down the donuts!
And I agree, the belly band is a lifesaver. I cringe at the thought of having to purchase maternity work pants so I am going to use my band as long as possible!
Looking gorgeous momma!! xo
you tiny thing! I can't believe its time for you to find out the gender already. Just go ahead and prepare yourself for an incredible sight to see that baby already so much bigger and see things like the chambers of their heart etc! so amazing.
ReplyDeleteI was so miserable for all three of our pregnancies...could you just pretend that it's a little bit hard? ;)

Those belly bands are amazing! I wore mine through my whole 2nd trimester. Pinterest is a pregnant ladies best friend!
ReplyDeleteWoohooo, sounds like you had another great week. You really do look amazing - so I think pregnancy really agrees with you! They do say girls steal their mom's beauty, so maybe it is a little boy after all ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm totally not pregnant, but I might need one of those bands. You know, for snacks.
ReplyDeleteI craved tuna all the time when I was pregnant! It's torture when you want something that bad and you have to limit yourself.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to find out the gender!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, my vote is GIRL!

Belly Band is amazing!! Have you bought maternity jeans yet??? They may have been the greatest part of being pregnant :)
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to hear what you're having!!
It is so awesome to get to see the baby! I rocked those bands for a long time.
ReplyDeleteSuch an exciting week!!! And you will feel the movement inside wayyyy before you or Ian can feel it on the outside. It felt like little butterflies down low for me around 14 weeks. Ben felt him for the first time at 19 weeks but it wasn't until the mid to late 20s that he could really feel him consistently well. Can't wait to see what you're having!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the news of boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the belly band when I was pregnant. I hated having my jeans buttoned! :) You're looking fabulous, I love your outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou make pregnancy look so fun and easy girl! I'm saying girl- I don't know why I'm just feeling it. I felt my first kicks around 18 weeks it was crazy and amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love your updates! As a 20 year old that's wayyyyyy far away from pregnancy - it's really eye opening!

You are the cutest Mama-to-be! Congrats on your little bundle and I hope the gender turns out to be exactly what you're hoping for (but either way, I'm sure you will be equally thrilled).
ReplyDeleteGlad you are still feeling well!
