Three Thursday Loves

A quick little snapshot of life here in Charlotte right now:

+ It's a gray day and there is the perfect fall-chill in the air.
+ My space heater is kicking out warm air on my legs.
+ I'm looking out the window at a tree that is dropping leaves as I type.
+ I'm sipping on my fave K-Cup, the chai tea latte.

I'm truly embracing this autumn season!

Last night I posted on IG that I was slipping into hibernation mode. Y'all, I can't help it. As soon as the days start getting shorter and it's dark not long after I arrive home from work, I head straight for the couch until it's time to head to bed (lazy bones!).

I also have a hibernation uniform.

Yoga pants and a cozy shirt. Until recently, that has been an old long-sleeved sorority t-shirt (those were hard to come by in college -- we CHEERED when our event chair would debut a pocket tee or a long-sleeved tee!). Okay, so now I have a new obsession. The Old Navy raglan sweatshirts.

I love love love my "Heart and Soul" version (I ended up keeping the XS, it was still plenty roomy for me) and on Monday I picked up the heathered gray version above.

The only reason I bought the lighter gray one is because I was wearing the H+S one every single night and I thought I would get tired of it. These puppies are literally less than $7 now on the website so I will be stocking up on more of them. Just a note, in my store they are not that inexpensive. The two more that I really want are the yellow one and the light pink one but they are currently out of stock for my size.

Secondly, SUPER excited because tonight is our meet-up for Charlotte bloggers! EEEK! We are going to be learning how to make really cute bangles (and we get to keep the one we make) so I'm just thrilled. I also have a happy hour date beforehand with one of my blogging faves who can't make the meet-up, too. :)

And lastly, I treated myself to the BEST mani-pedi on Tuesday. It was Ian's birthday and we had our nice dinner planned, so at lunchtime I decided to backburner the errands I had to run and opt for a little nail TLC instead. This place near my office is your run-of-the-mill nail salon but it's a good one. They did my pedicure simultaneously with my manicure -- I consider it one of life's little luxuries to have two technicians fussing over you. It reminds me of my very favorite "snip snip here, snip snip there" Emerald City scene from Wizard of Oz.

Happy Friday Eve! See you back here tomorrow for the Five On Friday link-up!

  13. I placed a huge ON order on Monday, great sale code! I'm excited to get a monogram put on the back of the collar of a puffer vest, just pinned a photo.

SO jealous you're going to On a String! I love those bracelets and attempted to DIY some this past weekend. They need some work, maybe you can do a blog tutorial? Wish I lived near Charlotte so I could take a class.

  22. Love this post! I feel exactly the same way about starting to hibernate, haha. It's so hard not to when the weather is cool and the evenings get dark more quickly. That sweatshirt from Old Navy looks like the perfect fall comfort.

  26. So, with the sorority shirts, I can totally relate! When I was in college, which was in early 2000, we thought we were incredibly innovative when the t-shirt chair designed a tee with a pocket. Now, I am a volunteer advisor, and there is everything from Spirit Jersey to tank tops and everything in between. Where has the time gone??!!

  27. Hello there, as a newbie to crypto currency trading, I lost a lot of money trying to navigate the market on my own. In my search for a genuine and trusted trader, i came across Anderson Johnny who guided and helped me make so much profit up to the tune of $40,000. I made my first investment with $1,000 and got a ROI of $9,400 in less than 8 days. You can contact this expert trader via email tdameritrade077@gmail.com or on WhatsApp +447883246472 and be ready to share your own testimony
