This Thursday, I am thankful for...
+ A job that takes me to new places to explore. Yes, spending multiple days away may not be my favorite ever, but I get to see new places, try new restaurants, and sleep diagonally in the bed. With four feather pillows.
+ Two-hour long dinners with best girlfriends where we are only eating for about 30 of those minutes. We were chatterboxes!
+ Anthropologie. I spent a good amount of time in that store yesterday afternoon smelling each and every candle in the store. Each and every candle.
+ Candy Crush because I am still playing it like it is my j-o-b.
+ Reminders from home about how much I'm missed and needed. Ian sent me a text letting me know he was "lost" without me in the grocery store. He said he wandered around aimlessly for half an hour before purchasing coffee and salad dressing. And then he left and picked up takeout.
+ Sweet comments and emails, I truly read and enjoy each one (and if you ask me a question, I will always try to get back to you). When I check my email on my phone, I read through my other two email accounts first and leave my blog email for the last one to check because it brings me the most joy.
What are you thankful for this Thursday?

tomorrow for Five On Friday. XO!
I'm heading to the mall today and will be stopping by Anthropologie now to smell their candles. :) Your poor husband! Mine would also be so lost.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for meeting a new friend in our new city with a play mate for my daughter. It's a win win situation!
"Thankful on Thursday"... I'm loving that! It's so easy to get caught up in "What I'm Loving Wednesday" and listing out what we just can't wait to by, but I've (sadly) never thought to take one blog post to be thankful. I think you might be starting a trend, my dear :) Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a sweet text from Ian and he probably didn't even know it! :) I wish my house smelled like Anthro 24/7..but currently it smelled like something burned...because it did...on Saturday. Wife fail.
ReplyDeleteBen is also lost in the grocery store-pretty sure he would go straight to the frozen pizza section!
ReplyDeletedying over Ian's comment. sometimes matt will offer to run to the grocery store for me but i usually say no because he always gets lost. haha.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thursday!!! xo
Sweet post. Did you smell those candles that were royal themed with Queen Elizabeth on them? They also have little hand salves? I spent at least 10 minutes smelling all of those last week. YUMMY,
ReplyDeleteGood post, girlfriend! I secretly love going shopping by myself so I can stop and smell all the candles/perfumes or basically just take as much time as I want :)
ReplyDeleteI love this - I'm due for a good "Thankful" list! I love that Ian sent you that cute text message. Joel is totally lost in grocery stores without me, and I give him a hard time about it, but I secretly love it.
ReplyDeleteYes to the sleeping! As much as I love snuggling with the hubs, having a bed to yourself is SO nice sometimes!
ReplyDeleteLove Anthropologie! Good for you for thinking about the bright side of things. Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder.
ReplyDeleteDinners with friends are just the best and so good for the spirit!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I wish I traveled for my job! Great experiences! :) Jules
