I do love my skinny jeans and cute cropped pants, but in the dead heat of summer, knit dresses are key. Breezy and cool, and easy to just toss on with casual flip flops or dressier metallic sandals.
For work (if you work in a more casual atmosphere, like me), you could easily top one of the sleeveless numbers above with a lightweight cardigan with the sleeves pushed up and have a work-friendly outfit.

Definitely the chevron mini in black & creme. I love maxi dresses but I always end up looking like Mrs. Roper in them. Maybe b/c I am petite but I haven't found one that flatters me (even if tailored/hemmed).
