Saturday there was an estate sale around the corner from where I live, and I ended up with some fun little finds! I'll be sharing photos soon. Are you an estate sale shopper?
That night we cooked out with friends -- burgers and sweet potato fries. For an appetizer, I brought over deviled eggs ... I used the basic recipe but added blue cheese to the filling and placed a sliced pepperoncini on top of each egg.
Sunday consisted of yardwork galore. We planted flowers and several more azaleas (why oh why doesn't my yard look like Amen Corner at the Augusta National?!?).
As the evening wound down, I sat out on the patio with a glass of red and my iPad with the doors leading to the house wide open. I listened to my husband cheer on Adam Scott as he strived to earn the coveted green jacket. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.
Happy Monday, ya'll, and get ready for a really exciting giveaway coming your way tomorrow!
Sounds like the perfect weekend! I'm in love with the weather too, before it gets too hot!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I too needed a much longer weekend, but I'm happy that 6 months from today I'm leaving for my honeymoon - cannot WAIT for that vacation! :)
ReplyDeleteYou need to let me know about these estate sales! I want to go too!
ReplyDeleteLove a good estate sale! Cannot wait to see what you snagged...
ReplyDeleteI seriously laughed out loud at Ian's dinner comment. Men are such Men ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lovely weekend. Also, to state the obvious, Adam Scott is really hot.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with needing a longer weekend. I wish this past weekend could have gone on forever! Happy to hear that you enjoyed it as much as we did;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely weekend! Backyard drink sipping is one of my favorite hobbies!
ReplyDeleteI adore Adam Scott. He really has been a fave of mine since 2003! So I have been rooting for him for a while. I love a nice glass of vino at the end of a day, too.
ReplyDelete(I am going on a comment frenzy to distract myself from this Boston news. I will totally fall apart if I follow it too much.)
I spent all weekend in my yard and I still need about 2 more days to get it into fighting shape!
