Happy Fathers Day to my sweet dad.
For our father-daughter dance, we couldn't decide on a slow song or a shag song ... so we did both. We started with "What a Wonderful World" and then the song morphed into "Miss Grace." It was an incredibly perfect dance with my dad.
When I was a little girl, I got up early with Dad each morning as he got ready for work. I was fascinated by the foamy whiskers left in the sink after he shaved. When he left for the day, I stood by the window facing the driveway -- each day, without fail -- and to wave to him as he left for work. Before he walked out the door, I said the same thing each day: "Bye, I love you, don't be late, wave to me from the drive-in window".
Drive-in window sounds a little funny to me now considering that I was home ... but at that point in my life, it made perfect sense.
Love you very much, Dad.
