Our last full day in Paris was our second wedding anniversary, and we had something really special planned -- professional pictures at the Eiffel Tower! I am so, SO excited to share these photos.
Here's how it all started: When planning our trip, I happened to come across this post on Fifi Cheek about a mother and daughter who had photos taken during a trip to Paris. The photos were just darling and my gears really started turning ... what if we could do something similar? I presented the idea to Ian and he was all for it (what? who are you, and what did you do with my husband?! ran through my head for a second). So the hunt began for a great photographer!
I am so happy that I came across Stacy Reeves with L'Amour de Paris. Stacy and her husband are from Dallas, but they got engaged in Paris and just truly felt pulled to the City of Lights, so they took a leap of faith and moved there!
It was so refreshing to get off of the Trocadero Metro stop, come above ground, and see this cute, bubbly American girl holding a pink camera bag and speaking with a Southern twang! We loved immersing ourselves in Parisian culture, but we felt so comfortable having an English-speaking photographer. Plus, she started off our session with the one question that cemented the fact that I really liked this gal -- she asked me if I had "a favorite side." Well yes, Stacy, I do! And how awesome that she took that into consideration for every photo!
Enough jabbering from me ... I'm going to leave the photos captionless, because I think Stacy does such an awesome job of telling a story with a picture -- no captions needed.
I already have framed a few small photos, and I'd love to get a large version of one of these on canvas. I'm so torn though! Help me decide -- which one should make the cut?
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have been the same if Brad would have said yes to doing that! LOL!! I say the first one or the one of him dipping and kissing you is the one to blow up.
ReplyDeleteThese are magazine worthy. Seriously! I just sent the link to her biz to our friends who just moved over there. Ironically, they're both originally from Dallas too!
Gorgeous. I don't have you are going to decide on which one to prints. What an awesome keepsake!
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh! What a fantastic idea! The pictures are all so beautiful! Definitely get a canvas version that has the Eiffel Tower in the background :) The photographer did an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are gorgeous!!! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteamazing!!!!!!!!! you will love those photos forever!
ReplyDeleteThese are all amazing!!! What a great idea to really capture your trip and anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteSO adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work! A woman I used to work with is a HUGE Francophile and has visited Paris numerous times, including on her honeymoon last summer. She and her husband brought their wedding attire and had professional photos taken of them in wedding dress & tux! They ended up really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI gasped at the close up one of you and Ian with your foreheads together with that gorgeous misty light around you. It's stunning. That would be my canvas one :) Otherwise, I love the ones where he picks you up or dips you - action shots, baby!!
Beautiful pictures for a beautiful couple who are so clearly in love xx
Oh these are gorgeous!!! You'll love them forever. Such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Word. These are so beautiful, what a dream!! I can understand why you are having such a hard time choosing but 4,5,14,15,19,21 & 22 are must prints! I obviously couldn't choose either :)

ReplyDeleteThese photos are absolutely beautiful, April! Great job picking out your photographer :) I love so many of them, it's hard to choose. I like so many of the color versions, but if you want a black and white for your canvas, one of my favorites is the 4th from the bottom (the one where he is dipping you). Such a great picture!
ReplyDeleteOh they are just stunning! I love them all. Makes me want to jump on a plane and go back to Paris with my hubs so we can have a photo session!

ReplyDeleteEither the one where your noses are touching and your eyes are closed - I die for the lighting in that photo - or the first one of him dipping you :) Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm in LOVE with your pictures! We just got back from Paris last weekend and I wish I would have thought of this! Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteStop it, stop it, OMG stop it!!!!!!!!!!! These are breathtaking. There is no way I could pick a favorite - they are all.......wow!!

ReplyDeleteI only noticed your skirt halfway through the photos. These pictures are absolutely beautiful, and it's crazy how empty Paris looks. This was such a great idea, and such a wonderful thing to have later on!

OH MY GOSH APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have got to do this after the disaster with our wedding photos. These are STUNNING of you two! What treasured pictures these will be forever!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could ask her to take our pictures with the money we may get back from our photographer. Would you mind me asking how much she charged?!
These are all so fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is probably the close up of the two of your foreheads touching the the gorgeous lighting.
These are so beautiful! What a fabulous memory to have!! I have no idea how you are going to choose! I think you should wallpaper your walls with them!
ReplyDeleteWow, so beautiful!!! These photos are absolutely amazing. I am a HUGE fan of this idea. We got engaged right before a trip to Italy and I contacted photographers in Tuscany and we ended up taking our engagement pictures in Siena. They are one of my favorite travel souvenirs of all time!

Your photos are all stunning, idk how you are going to narrow it down to decide which one to put on canvas! Thanks for sharing them, they are lovely! Xoxo

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Gorgeous! I would probably choose #11. You know, just a casual day in Paris. However, it will be a tough pick.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely speechless!!! These photos are AMAZING. You both are so beautiful. I would frame these in my own home; you look like models!!!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! What a great idea! Still can't believe we were in Paris around the same time!

ReplyDeleteStunning shoot and such a beautiful idea x
ReplyDeleteGirl, these are AMAZING! I would have had the same reaction if Stephen was on board for pictures (for once)- especially in Paris! I went to school with Lindsey, she has the cutest blog. How will you ever decide which ones to frame??? What a treasure :)
ReplyDeleteOkay - I love these so much!! I can't even decide which are my favorite. My finalists include Ian dipping you in front of the tower while kissing (obviously!!!), the bright photo with eyes closed and foreheads touching (looks like a magazine photo) and Ian picking you up while you're kissing between the trees! AHH!! I love these!!! Ian looks so handsome and you look stunning, my dear! love the outfits you picked!!!
ReplyDeletethese are amazing!!!!! what a treasure!!!!!! xoxoxo

ReplyDeletethe silhouette pics, the dancing pics, the kissing pics, they're all so so perfect! i LOVE that y'all did this!

Those are great. Not because of the perfect (and I mean perfect) background, but because she captured how happy and smitten the two of you are with each other. Worth every penny!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What an absolutely wonderful idea! Your pictures are incredibly gorgeous and what a perfect keepsake they are going to be! My husband's in big trouble now, because if we ever make it to Paris we're just going to have to do this, too :)
