I'm sitting here with my hot coffee (toasted coconut with sugar-free caramel creamer, naturally!) and perusing nightstands. Ahhh, #adulting.
On either side of our master bed, we currently have two mismatched nightstands and -- after two years -- it's time. Time to make a change. I have a very small mirrored table that's constantly overflowing with books, not that I'm really reading or anything, but I want STORAGE. And I also want a nightstand that's large enough to hold a lamp. I want Ian and I to have matching nightstands, matching lamps, and basically I just want it to look like grown-ups sleep in that room.
I'm turning to Wayfair for ease because I just don't feel like hunting around Charlotte and loading anything in the back of the van. Gosh knows I have the space for them in the van but not the energy.
Here are some options I'm looking at, would love any input you have!
Our bedding is white, our headboard is tan and upholstered, and the walls are Sea Salt. The dresser across from our bed is painted a light/medium gray.
I'm SO in love with the nightstand on Ian's side currently, it was a World Market find several years back. It's sort of a carved grayed wood. If I could just find a match for it, I'd be in heaven!
Where are your sources for furniture that can be delivered to your doorstep (seriously) that don't cost an arm and a leg?
If you love the nightstand he has already, I would just find one that compliments it for your side. I'm not a matchy-matchy person though :) so I prefer to mix things up!
ReplyDeleteAaaah DO NOT buy the Norloti (at least not from Wayfair.) That exact nightstand is sitting in my living room right now waiting to be returned -- it arrived smashed up because the quality is VERY poor. I can send you pics if you want.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love a good decor hunt! Can you share a pic of the nightstand on Ian's side? I'm really just distracting myself from my own nightstand hunt because we have also now been in our house 2+ years and have mismatched pre-marriage nightstands on either side of our bed.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Wayfair (although I do get overwhelmed looking at that site).
ReplyDeleteIt's probably easier to fit a vacuum under the first option ... and definitely easier to grab things that may fall. I think the space under the 2nd option would become the Bermuda Triangle :)
ReplyDeleteIf you find a style you like on Wayfair, search for it on Joss & Main AND overstock - I’ve often found a decent price difference between the three sites, and they almost all use the same names for pieces.
ReplyDeleteI was on the hunt for a match for the nightstand I had for my daughters room. It was my grandparents old bedroom set but only had one nightstand. I posted a pic of the nightstand on a bunch of FB groups saying I was looking for a match and found one. Maybe give it a try???
ReplyDeleteOverstock.com!
ReplyDeleteI have found furniture from World Market on Wayfair and Overstock by searching the description. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHave you checked your neighborhood craigslist? Many people are moving this time of year and could be selling nice quality nightstands for cheap (and better quality then wayfair). And they may deliver to you especially if you mention you are very pregnant.
ReplyDeleteI like the first option but if you can find the same on that Ian already has, that would be awesome. The hubby & I had matching ones but I just had too much stuff so I have a lil bookshelf now & I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that first option. And Wayfair is a favorite of ours. Lately, we've been a fan of Amazon for bedroom purchases (our new frame w/headboard is awesome!) and since we're in on Prime, it'e even better. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHave you considered furniture consignment shops? I know Greensboro, NC have several options.
