Five On Friday

It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join along!

Remember, all you have to do is post about five things on your mind, add our logo (found at the bottom of this post), and join the party using the linky tools below. Easy, and a great way to find new blogs and be found. :)

First things first, I made the BEST short ribs in the crockpot last night and would love to share the recipe with you! I always thought that short ribs sounded way too "fancy" for me to attempt cooking at home. Turns out, all you have to do is dump a few ingredients in a slow cooker and you end up with a meal that rivals a restaurant entree! The recipe is from Damn Delicious blog (HERE) and it is seriously worth trying. I picked up a pack of four short ribs from Harris Teeter yesterday for a little more than $6 total and had most of the other ingredients already in my pantry. Major win.

I served it with an Asian chopped salad (the kind where ALL of the ingredients you need are in the bag, vinaigrette included.)

We have a great weekend ahead, and one of the most exciting parts is that I get to spend it with my adorable squishy nephew! I am so very excited to relax with loved ones and hopefully finish reading The Good Girl (yes, I've been working on it for a few weeks now!).

Camille has been loving her new sippy cup (I went with the Munchkin 360 in Hello Kitty pattern - this one - after doing WAY too much research).

Labeling it for preschool has been a little bit of a pain, though, untilllll.... I found these! They just came in the mail yesterday and I'm more excited than I should be. You can write right on them with a pen or permanent marker!

I just placed another order from thredUP and even found a cute little dress for myself! I really hope it fits. It's a Lilly dress and sometimes their sizing varies a lot to me. But I think it's the perfect easy dress for fall and it will look cute with a denim jacket and some gold sandals. If you need a referral link for $10 off your first order, here's mine!

I also got Camille these yoga pants (eeeeeee!!!). I just love love love thredUP.

  3. Oh i definitely am adding that recipe to my list in the coming weeks. sounds yummy!! We love those 360 cups! I had a total mom fail and didn't realize the silicone part on the top detached from the lid...so glad I finally realized it and can actually clean the lid properly! We have some awesome labels that were printed with some sort of ink that is dishwasher safe. I have been using them on my boys cups and things and literally they stick on and don't wash off in the dishwasher. I was amazed!! Happy Friday!

  6. That meal looks delicious! Ribs are so intimidating to cook, I've done them in the slow cooker a few times but I can't seem to get them just right!

  7. Yum! I always feel like the short ribs I see are so fatty. Maybe I'm just not seeing good cuts?? I'll have to try again because those look delicious!

I used these bands for my kiddos. Loved them. Also- this website has great stuff. I love their adhesive labels. I bought some 5 years ago and put them on different water bottles and things and they are STILL on there. Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe. They're awesome.
