What took me so long? Add one part busy life with one part procrastination with one part overwhelmingly large amount of beautiful wedding photos, and you get ... no album progress.
If you have found yourself in the same situation, I couldn't recommend more highly using Libby James for your album! Working with this awesome new company made the album design process so simple for me. Between balancing work, family, friends, being out of town, and just day-to-day life, I needed a foolproof way of designing this album. What I loved about the Libby James software is that you can save your progress and then just pick right up where you left when you're ready. Plus, the pre-made templates make it so easy for you to just drop in your photos and have confidence that they are centered and aligned perfectly.
The album I chose for us is the 20-page Diamond album, which is 10x10 -- a great size for our coffee table. The album came in a nice black box with a protective cover. Here is a look at some of my favorite pages from our album.
Here is the back of the album -- you can have one picture cover the front and back, but I chose two separate photos from our day.
I love that the photo quality is so crisp and vibrant. The printing process didn't take away an ounce of beauty from my photos! The album pages are thick, high-quality, and they lay flat. Love it.

It's the thing on my to-do list that keeps getting moved to the next day even though I understand the value in having our wedding photos in print for years to come! Hard for me to pick a favorite photo from our wedding but it definitely would be one of the raw, emotional, candids... like the one of me with my dad just seconds before walking down the aisle.

The sparklers and all of our closest family and friends are in the background and we are kissing in front of the car. It was such a magical day! Our 3 year is April 2nd and we haven't made a wedding album yet!

One of my favorite photos from my wedding three and a half years ago (for which I still have not made an album!) is a photo of me and my dad looking at each other and smiling as he began to walk me down the aisle. Something about our connection and excitement in that moment was captured so perfectly!

My aunt had been battling advanced ALS and had traveled from Ohio to Arizona because she was determined not to miss her oldest niece's big day. Her two daughters were able to hold her up on either side so she could be photographed without her wheel chair. I will forever treasure that picture.

What a beautiful album! One of my favorite photos from my wedding is one I will thank my photographer FOREVER for - we got married on a harbor and my photography walked right up to a person on their yacht asking if we could use it for a few photos! We are standing on the boat, water in the background and not a cloud in the sky...I love it!!

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have several precious wedding memories caught on camera, but my favorite has to be one where we were unaware that a camera was close by. Our brilliant photographer caught my husband dipping me (complete with a glass of champagne in my hand...and how did my dress look so perfect in that photo?!) during our dance party. To top it off - we were kissing and our friends in the background have priceless looks on their faces. Think - WWII/Times Square nurse and soldier photo! Such a fantastic shot!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo from our wedding is the one of my brand new husband and I in the back seat of my grandfather's very old 1950's Packard. The kicker, my grandfather passed away 10 years prior to our wedding and we had sold that old car. My dad tracked it down and the owner still lived in town and graciously agreed to drive us around, for free! All my family members remembered the car and it was so special to have it there, almost like a piece of my grandfather was able to be there with me.

My favorite photo is my husband and I outside in the middle of the snowstorm after our ceremony where the snow is coming down on fall leaves. So fun and memorable!

ReplyDeleteOne of my absolute favorite wedding pictures is from our first dance. We had practiced beforehand but were having so much fun not worrying about the steps and just being in the moment. The picture is of me with the biggest smile/laugh on my face and my husband smiling and looking at me. It's candid and so special.

We are standing right off the beach in Cancun and a beautiful rainbow just appeared. The photographer started jumping up and down she was so excited. You could have heard a pin drop. And the way he looked at me and took a deep breath was the sweetest! The diamond album is definitely my favorite. We didn't have an album made after the wedding, but almost 4 years later I am looking to have a nice one with the lay-flat pages. It's hard to find a place that lets you do the design work yourself!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo from our wedding wasn't even one captured by our photographer. My grandfather took a candid photo of me and the hubs during a "sneak away" kiss. It's my favorite photo of us ever.

My favorite wedding photo was taken behind Old Town Hall in the city where we live and got married. I have my arms linked through my husbands, and my head is resting on his shoulder and he has his head tilted on mine. There is another shot that everyone else says is their favorite picture (my husband included) but I love the relaxed look of this photo, it just feels like "us" to me.
