Five On Friday

I'm so excited for this weekend -- Ian and I are flying to DC today to spend some time with his grandparents. We need another term for what they are to me; "grandparents-in-law" sounds just way too formal. I call them Grammie and Gramps, the same thing Ian calls them. I don't have any grandparents left and I miss them so very much -- so this relationship that I gained through our marriage has been such a true blessing.

Plus, Grammie and I are pen-pals which is the most awesome thing ever.

Indeed!

So I hope you will excuse me as I save my five for next week, but this girl has a plane to catch! I'll still be reading your five on my Bloglovin' app, so link up along with us!

I hope you will join this link-up along with me and my wonderful co-hostesses -- DarciNatasha, and Christina. Playing along is simple!  Just write a post about five things on your mind today, anything goes really, post the logo below on your blog, and then enter your post address below in the link-up section. It's a great way of meeting new friends and getting more eyes on your cute blog :)

  11. Enjoy your grandparent getaway!! I also gained 4 grandparents by marriage and love them dearly. They treat me like family and my husband even claims that they like me better than him! We are pen pals too and I just smile with delight when I see a beautifully penned letter from one of them in my mailbox. Grandparents are treasures!!
