Kate recently went for an entire month with no shopping. No clothes, no accessories, no shoes. Necessities were okay if they were just that -- necessities.

I know I'll be purchasing a few more elements of my Halloween costume (Kate gave me the green light on that one) and I also know of a certain boy with a birthday coming up mid-month. But the jaunts to the mall and TJ Maxx during my lunch breaks is going to take a backseat for the 31 days in October.
Might I fail? Absolutely. But I promise I'll be completely honest every step of the way.
Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck! Even though it sounds easy, it's always during that first weekend that I really get the urge to buy something.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea! I need to do this too!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea!! Will have to try this one myself :) Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteyou can totally do it!! good luck lady...we'll be here for support
ReplyDeleteoh you can totally do it! good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I need to do this too! LOL seriously.....
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! SO glad you're doing this -- now you will feel my pain and we can commiserate over holiday drinks this winter! Trust me when I say that any and every e-mail blast from a clothing store needs to be deleted immediately. Do not open. Ha! Good luck. You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! ;) Great idea, I may follow suit!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! This is such a good thing to do and I know you can do it :)
ReplyDeleteI think I need to try this! Now that the Mall of America is just 2 minutes away, lunch hour is getting expensive!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I broke down mid-September for No Shop September...and with starting a new job next week that actually requires me to DRESS UP (bye bye to the days of jeans and flip flops in the office), I need to start building a "grown up" wardrobe. Maybe I'll aim for no shop November....maybe.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea...I should try...I'm sure my wallet will thank me! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteLove that orange maxi dress! Where is it from? :)
ReplyDeleteI like that idea! I may give it a shot too.
ReplyDeleteI gave up shopping for Lent one year, so I definitely know it will be a challenge...but you can do it! Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteLemme know how it goes!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing 100 days with no shopping on clothes, accessories, or non-necessity house stuff. I hve to say, though at times its been kind of hard, overall it has been super refreshing and it is making me appreciate what I have even more! My favorite thing is that instead of buying something new, it forces me to look at what I have in a new way and see how I can wear something or decorate with something in a way I hadn't thought of before. And seeing my bank account grow and grow has been an added bonus, too :)
ReplyDeleteaaah I'm trying to do the exact same thing!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! I have REALLY had to cut back since student teaching--I'm basically paying to work a full time job! You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, we are on the same wave length! On Saturday I told Kris that I was going to try and not shop all month! Will not be easy for this shopaholic LOL but I am glad that I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteGood luck girl!! To be honest..I dont think I could do it! But I really admire you for attempting this
ReplyDeletei did NO SHOPPING MAY earlier this year and while it was insanely hard, i felt so good when it was over!
