This past Saturday I went to Lake Norman with some girlfriends. We packed up the cars with
food, booze, trashy magazines, and dogs, and headed up to Kristi's family lakehouse.
After unpacking, we took the boat out and headed to an island where we beached the boat and just enjoyed each other's company for a few hours.

Nothin' like a girls trip. And that night we feasted on tomato pie, orzo salad with veggies and chicken, and the most delicious cookies that Kristi brought. I don't have a picture of them, but they were so tasty. Kristi said her mother calls them "Cow Plops" but she had some other name for them which I can't remember. So for now, we will just refer to them as .....
Chocolatey-Peanut Butterey-Oatmeal No Bake Cookies
that are delicoussss
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 cups oatmeal
- Waxed paper
Directions
In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened.

What a fun weekend and I love that you guys brought all your puppies! Those are one of my favorite cookies as well!
