Ever since seeing Twitter folks go crazy over accent vlogs last night, I knew I wanted to join in on the action.
Only one take & I think I got it (surprisingly)!
So, wanna participate? Here is the outline.
The instructions are to say these words:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught
And answer these questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you use to change the TV channel?
Have you done an accent vlog? Link it up!
And a quick sidenote - the whining and collar jingles you hear in the background are from our dog Drake - he was vlogging with me but did not want to be pictured due to a "bad fur day."
Also - just out of curiosity - do you think my accent matches up with what you imagined? :)
Congratulations on being a newlywed. Loved the vlog. :-)
ReplyDeletePRECIOUS! :-) And just as southern as can be! :-) But I think your accent is stronger when you get excited! ;-) haha! :-) I remember it being stronger than on your v-blog! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have been "stalking" for quite a while and this is my first comment! You are just precious!!! Was surprised by the Peecan and not "pehcahn"... Loved the vlog!!
ReplyDeleteahhh love this girl :) i loved it!

Adorable! You sound just like you seem in your blog - sweet, fun, smart, friendly!
ReplyDeleteI especially enjoyed your husband comment. I asked Mr. Smith about doing my accent vlog last night and he was adamant about it not happening. Boys just don't GET IT when it comes to blogging! So if Mr. Smith walks in the room during our prosecco-and-vlog night, there might be some fun exchanges. :)
Happy long weekend!
Oh My GOODNESS!!! I think I want to be your friend in real life even more now! Honestly, I had no idea what to expect you to sound like, and you are friend the south, so I should have assumed, but I was so pleasantly surprised :) You were great! You may have just inspired me to do an accent vlog...
ReplyDeleteI think your accent matched up to what I imagined-I love Southern accents and yours didn't dissapoint :)
ReplyDeletep.s.-you so were not awkward, i loved your vlog!
Ahh your vlog is so cute! I'm so glad to have found your blog, too! And I laughed out loud about the husband thing, because I definitely recorded mine while my husband was in class. It's awkward enough recording those things, I can't imagine doing it with someone watching you.
ReplyDeleteYou have the most precious accent! I'm doing mine on Sunday and I think these are so fun! Have a wonderful weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteToo cute!! Love the "pop"!
ReplyDeleteHi, just found your blog and I love it! My husband is from Ohio too and I love to make fun of some of the things he says.
