2017 is here ... and, as promised, I've debuted my new blog name! I went pretty simple and just took part of my old tagline from A. Liz Adventures -- so, the new name is Smidge Of This. I think it's simple, slightly different, and it encompasses the fact that I like to cover a wide array of topics in this little space of mine.
It's still a work in progress to get every little mention of "A. Liz Adventures" converted over, but I'm trying to tackle that during naptimes and bedtimes!
I also updated the actual blog design to something classic and simple, a look that will hopefully last me for a few more years! If you're reading on a blog reader, you may not be able to see the actual design unless you click over.
Christmas comes down in our house today. We are getting back to the grind ... ballet for Camille, laundry for me, army crawling for Charlotte, and work for Ian. And maybe a doc appointment for my girls who have a cough like they share a pack of Virginia Slims each morning.
Yesterday was my birthday, and I got exactly what I wanted ... a family lunch out. And the girls in matching dresses (THESE from Old Navy). Ian also got me flowers and a gift card for a local movie theater with the instructions to take a girlfriend out to a movie. Done!
Last night I took a selfie in a restaurant bathroom ... yes, I'm 35.
But Ian and I had a babysitter and went out on the BEST date night for my birthday dinner. We had dinner at Pearlz where we shared 30 oysters (24 raw, 6 Rockerfeller) and I had two glasses of champagne. I wore that awesome crushed velvet top which looks to be sold out in dark green but still available in black. I'm wearing a small and I traditionally wear a XS/S. It's marked down to $23, soooo .... pounce on this. And if you bought it at $39 like I did, start a chat with them to get a price adjustment (you know I took advantage of that!).
Let's hope that I can up my photography game in 2017. My phone is 100% out of space so I have to take all of my photos in Snapchat and then save them. #firstworldprobs
