In the cold weather though, it's a little hard to justify a freezing cold island-fruity smoothie. This fall and winter I wanted to try something with a little holiday spin on it.
PRESENTING.... the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie!
Looks great right? And it's easy. Eaaaaaaasy peasy. Promise!
Ingredients:
- Canned pumpkin (about 2 Tbsp. or to taste)
- 3/4 cup soy milk (or regular milk)
- Frozen banana
- Honey
- Spices: Cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg
Oh, and one more thing. I know this smoothie seems like a treat, but consider this:
- Pumpkin is packed with Vitamin A.
- Soy milk is rich with soy protein (regular milk is good for calcium too).
- Bananas = potassium and fiber!
- Cinnamon regulates or reduces blood sugar (glucose) levels.
- Honey is a great source of antioxidants.
- .... Convinced yet?
