Camille did give us a sleepless night last night (!!!!) and I still don't know what to attribute it to other than being in an unfamiliar location. Ian and I are zombie-esque for sure, but we are hoping for an early bedtime tonight and for better sleeping from the baby this evening. It was rough, no way to sugarcoat that.
Here are some photos from our otherwise restful trip. We had perfect weather and great times with friends!
i totally stayed in the beach house behind the gray house in the first picture in may for a bachelorette party. i loved it out there b/c it was so far from all the crowds. we were basically the only people on the beach that weekend.
ReplyDeleteOur little girl (just a few weeks younger than Camille) had a sleepless night on a recent trip to the lake. She's typically a VERY good sleeper, so that definitely through us for a loop. I think it was a combination of the unfamiliar surroundings, her sleeping in a Pack 'n Play in the same room as us, and, with other little kids around, I feel like our daughter is worried she's missing out on something fun.

I am sure Camille will sleep well tonight. It looks like a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteLove Folly!! Such a great beach, town, and a great time of year to go. There is not much more stressful than when you either have guests or are staying at someone else's house and your child won't sleep. It sends us through the roof in frustration! At least in your own house you're not afraid of them waking someone up. Hope she gets much needed rest tonight!
ReplyDeleteAhh love Folly! How fun- looks like a wonderful weekend! So glad yall had so much fun! (and Lawter had an uncharacteristically awful night's sleep last night too- waking up screaming and crying three times between 10 and 2. Ugh! Weird!)
ReplyDeleteahhh we almost went to folly this weekend! it would have been so fun to run into you. sorry camille didnt sleep well! we had another baby in the house and i thought they would wake each other up but they did great. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteWhat nice weekend getaway! We love Charleston, but have never been to Folly Beach. It sure does look beautiful, though!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun little trip! (I've loved following along on Snapchat.) I absolutely hate when babies are up all night when you're on vacation. You feel sorry for them on one hand, but on the other you're begging them in your mind, "Just go to sleeeeeeeep!" Hope y'all get some rest tonight!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun time! I was definitely ogling all the fabulous beach house art on Snapchat this past weekend!
ReplyDeleteShe is so precious!! The one picture of her with her foot propped on the table eating, haha! Love it! Looks & sounds like a great trip... Minus last night's party! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! That sounds like a fun weekend getaway.. hoping for a peaceful night's sleep tonight for your family!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun weekend getaway!! Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight for everyone!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fan of Folly Beach. I used to go pretty regularly when my friend was in grad school down there. Hope everyone gets some rest tonight!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos and a wonderful end of summer trip to the beach! Sorry to hear about the sleep thing. We go through that here and there with our little guy. I think often it has to do with teething. He is only 11 months though, so I'm sure different phases bring different things. Good luck and hopefully sleep is easy tonight!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Knew you were at the beach, just didn't know you were so close! :)
