i second what Jenny said above... sad that some who may not otherwise be able to afford some Lilly that tried and didn't get any and shame on the people who bought hoards of it just to sell for a profit... boo hiss to those not nice people!!!!
I was able to get what I wanted online, so I felt really lucky. I've never owned any Lilly, so I'm really excited! If I had gone to the store, I think I would have been scarred. It looked like absolute madness!
Meh. Fortunately the only people shopping at the Target I went to were civilized women who were polite. However, the sizes didn't seem to correspond with my "real" Lilly, so now I need to decide if it's worth it to tailor or if I should just return!
C.R.A.Z.Y. - I needed a nap after 2 minutes of shopping and only coming home with 3 things. Some people needed to be reminded of their manners, too. I think it was worth it, but then again, I'm not sure I'll participate next time.
I had a good time chuckling at the people on Twitter freaking out late Saturday night/early Sunday! Lol!
*I don't buy Lilly bc it's more than I'm willing to pay for things but, if I happen to see a pair of those Pineapple sandals in my size you bet I'll snatch those up! So cute!!
I seriously got lucky ... I managed to get a few items online and lucked up today and randomly got 3 other items as an employee was processing returns at my local target :)
I got a few items online and in store, so I consider myself pretty lucky. But everyone at our store was very courteous and having fun. Over all I have no issues with it, can't take these things too seriously!
Pleased to meet you! Join me as I diary my adventures - crafting, cooking, jewelry-making, shopping, traveling, and spending time with much-loved people that make me very, very happy.

Awesome for those who grabbed entire racks at a time.
ReplyDeleteLOL - this is my favorite
DeleteBitches be crazy!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteAbsolute insanity -- quote of the event (say it in an obnoxious sing song voice): "You got the beach chairs!"
ReplyDeleteA bomb of an event that resulted in "Lilly for Ebay" and bids well over what a "real" Lilly dress would cost. :-(
ReplyDeleteI can do it in one word--Madness-- ha!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday :)
A huge disappointment.
ReplyDeleteRidiculous! Cannot believe what things are going for on eBay. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI stayed farrrrr far away!
ReplyDeleteWorse than Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteSO bummed. And so disappointed in the people who bought just to sell for a profit.
ReplyDeleteTotally not worth it - rather pay full price than deal with that kind of crazy!
ReplyDeletePeople be crazy! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of disgusted by how it all went down - and for the eBay explosion. Unlady like stories from all my friends that entered the warzone :)
ReplyDeleteI got everything on my wish list thanks to some strategic online action, so I thought it was fun!

ReplyDeleteTears. I woke up at 3:00 a.m. to order online, and the Target site kept crashing.
ReplyDeleteUnLilly-Like!! I hope this doesn't tarnish the brand!! And I really hope when I wear Lilly I am asked Is That from Target?!
ReplyDeleteCame up empty handed!
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy, but I'm not a Lilly fan at all and thought those people running around like mad women were a bit nutty!
ReplyDeleteShould've tried online at 3am!
ReplyDeleteSuper fail... didn't even realize it was a one time launch!
ReplyDeletePublicity stunt gone very, very wrong!

Preppy Girl Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteTotal disappointment :(
ReplyDeleteWas it truly worth the hype?
ReplyDeleteI don't get the obsession with this stuff!!?
ReplyDelete#fakelilly
ReplyDeleteI don't get the obsession with Lilly either. Where I live, you can find the real deal at thrift and consignment stores. :)
I had a good time chuckling at the people on Twitter freaking out late Saturday night/early Sunday! Lol!

SO much fun because I didn't take it too seriously!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this was even going on until I started seeing pictures about it on Instagram - clearly I wasn't in the know on this one!

ReplyDeleteThanks for nothing #LillyforTarget.
ReplyDeleteCheapened the brand. #reallillyonly
ReplyDelete#owned it.. I scored a dress!
ReplyDeleteThe one time I'm glad I live in the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely ridiculous.
ReplyDeletePeople should be ashamed.
American greed.
What a sad, superficial life people lead.
There--that was four sentences! :)
Chaos and disappointment. A reminder of why I don't shop on Black Friday. (Although I think my favorite comment was Preppy Girl Hunger Games!)
