So, Darci, Christina, Natasha and I have been talking like crazy about how excited we are for the link-up's return today! Thank you for sticking with us while we went on our summer break. I think we've returned refreshed, relaxed, and ready for more fun link-ups ... the best way to find new blogs and see what's on peoples' minds in a quick and fun way!
I'm going to start with a sweet and end with a sweet and they are both GOOD.

First things first. Banana pudding. I made it on Saturday night and it was gone by Wednesday. A whole Pyrex of it. The first night I even got super fancy and made individual ones (in addition to the 8x8 of it) in mini-mason jars. They were almost too adorable to eat. And of course, no picture of that, whoops. I wrote about the recipe I use here.
Make it.
Seriously.
That consignment sale I went to last weekend was a great one and check out this little linen kimono top I picked up for Camille. I mean... isn't it just too much?!

In our house we do Takeout Tuesday which means no cooking, no cleanup, easy peasy. I couldn't recommend more the Jaco Pulled Pork Salads from The Roasting Company. Ian and I both love them. Good gah, they are yummy.

Camille's last feeding of the night is done via bottle so I can make sure she gets enough. Last night she had the firmest grip on my dress the whole time and it was just too cute. These moments may be fleeting but they sure are precious.

Not long back I picked up a Pampered Chef individual brownie pan, and this thing is legit. Last night I made sea salt brownies, and I swear -- this thing is like the King Midas of cookware. I haven't made brownies in it so far where they haven't popped right out, tasting perfectly delicious. You can also use it for other things -- cornbread, mini-lasagnas, you get the point. If you don't have a Pampered Chef contact, my sister Laura's sister-in-law is a rep and her site is here.

ReplyDeleteTake-out Tuesday = brilliant! I usually try to cook all week and leave the take out for the weekend, but I bet its really nice to have a break at the beginning of the week too!

ReplyDeleteThat kimono is the cutest thing ever!! I love the idea of a take-out night!! Perfection!! I used to sell Pampered Chef but I don't have that brownie pan! You can hardly ever go wrong with anything from them & you're right, you can make so much more than brownies in that little pan!! So glad you ladies are back & am excited about next week's give-away!!
ReplyDeleteIn the Walker household, we do Taco Tuesday, however, I am liking the idea of "TakeOut Tuesday!!" Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm SO sad that I missed all the consignment sales here in our area. I usually stock up for my son! And, girl, I have that Pampered Chef pan and you are right - it is LEGIT. My husband loves it when I use it for brownies. I haven't tried anything else in it yet, but I need to. I have a little recipe book of ideas from Pampered Chef, so I guess I need to put it to use. Do you happen to have their square baking stone? If not, I highly recommend it. I use it for homemade biscuits, cinnamon rolls, etc and it is amazing. I have the round one too, but the square one is just perfect! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to buy a brownie pan for like 8 years.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we do Roasting Company quite a bit through Foodie Call and now we are definitely going to need to try that tasty looking salad out!
Happy weekend!
