Five On Friday

It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join along!

Remember, all you have to do is post about five things on your mind, add our logo (found at the bottom of this post), and join the party using the linky tools below. Easy, and a great way to find new blogs and be found. :)

I made a great dinner the other night - the star was the grilled skirt steak with the "chimichurri" sauce. I put that in quotations because I really took a lot of liberty with this recipe from The Food Network and tweaked it to the ingredients I had on hand and in my garden. I didn't have fresh parsley, so as the main green part of the recipe I used fresh spinach along with homegrown oregano and homegrown mint. I omitted the shallots and added in some kosher salt, red pepper flakes, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil, gave it all a good pulse in Camille's Baby Brezza which was the perfect little size (see?! those things are a great little investment!) and it was such a yummy sauce. This will be a repeat entree for us, for sure!

Have you ever seen the Magnificent Baby clothing line? Prepare yourselves for this genius invention ... baby clothing that closes with magnets! (Ten out of ten husbands wildly approve, or so I hear)

I received a few of these pieces for my baby sprinkle and I can't wait to see the new baby in them! If you are looking for a great baby shower gift, I think this line of clothing would be loved by any mama-to-be.

We have had some magnificent weather recently, and Camille and I have spent most every evening outdoors before dinner. Swinging, visiting the neighbors' dogs, riding in her cozy coupe, playing with toys on a blanket. Good times with my girl.

I've been reading a really super book, The Unimaginable. You can read the synopsis here on Amazon. I am enjoying it on my Kindle app, and it's only $4.99 that way. A great, quick read so far (I'm about 2/3 of the way through) and I'd love to hear if anyone else has read it.

Just a quick reminder that this Sunday at 6pm Eastern is the very last day to take advantage of the spring promotion with Grove Collaborative. As a reminder, new customers who spend $20 get almost $30 in free products with your first shipment ... a Mrs. Meyers spring hand soap, a Mrs. Meyers spring dish soap, a Grove Collaborative glass spray bottle, and Grove Collaborative walnut scrubber sponges. Just make sure to use my referral link to take advantage of this spring promotion. Existing customers can use this link to get a free glass spray bottle with your next shipment! I'm a huge fan of this service and even Ian has complimented the way our house has been smelling (largely in part to the Mrs. Meyers honeysuckle scent ... yum).

TGIF y'all, and hope you will join in on Five on Friday this week! Cheers to the weekend!

  1. Washing those magnetic outfits is funny. They will stick to the side. They will also stick to other things (bouncer seat frame) and collect small things! We were not a fan although the fabric was so soft.

  4. You look fabulous in that picture of you & Camille. She, on the other hand, looks confused on why a picture is being taken of her. Ha! Too cute. :)
