I laid in bed yesterday morning in bliss ... I woke up before anyone else (big yay for not waking up to a toddler scream-cry which is my normal alarm clock), sunlight was beginning to stream in through the plantation shutters, and birds were chirping. This is my happy place. Waking up to a bright room instead of a dark room makes all of the difference in the world to me. I'm so looking forward to more early morning sunshine that comes along with the changing seasons.
I love saving pretty spring and Easter images on Pinterest, and several of my favorites below come from the same source -- Martha Stewart. I just love the clean, feminine, vintage look of a lot of her designs and tablescapes.

What are your plans this Easter? I'll be a few days away from Baby 2's due date, so we will be relaxing here at home. Ian and I really want to hide eggs for Camille in the backyard this year since we think she'll grasp the idea of hunting for them.
But I'm so mean that I won't be filling them all up with chocolate and sugary candy ... when she is older, heck yeah! But for now, can you blame me for leaving them empty and just convincing her for one more year that the fun is just in finding the hollow pastel eggs?!
I know, I know ... mean mommy. ;)
Gorgeous spring looks- definitely looking forward to changing up the seasons and bringing on the cheerful warm sunshine! I'm mean mommy too ; ) I can't bring myself to give her much junk yet when its not like she knows or cares!!
ReplyDeleteLove the first two pins - I think the flowers in an egg is such a neat way to display! My parents always put a little money in our eggs. Finding a coin was much more fun than chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving this weather - makes me so happy! Last year (C was around 16 months) we did an Easter egg "hunt" for her and I put a few cheddar bunnies in each egg. Just an idea. :) This year I plan to put one jelly bean in each lol! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove all those spring/Easter inspired pics. So pretty! And can't wait until we are all moved into our new home and can put some of our spring decor out. I think it's fine to do empty eggs since Camille won't know, but if you wanted to throw some fruit snacks or Annie's Organic Bunnies in a few of them, that could be fun too;)

I saw an idea where in each egg you put cheerios, cheddar bunnies, raisins or yogurt melts and at the end of the hunt, you had her empty them into a larger container so she had bunny trail mix to fill snack cups for the week.

ReplyDeleteWe put change in our Easter eggs... and then they can put it in their piggy banks! They love doing that! And teaches them to save at the same time😃!
