Movie Recommendation

Ian and I don't always agree on movies, so when one comes along that we both want to see, it's pretty darn exciting. Ian happened to see the preview of this one before I did, and he immediately knew that I would be all over it.

Room [DVD + Digital]

Saturday night we sat on the couch with Chinese take-out and watched Room

Wow, wow, wow.

The main actress, Brie Larson, took home the Oscar on Sunday night for Best Actress. No shocker there for me.

You can click here for a synopsis of what it's all about. The topic wasn't the easiest, but it was handled incredibly well.

Have you seen Room? Did you love it as much as we did? We even woke up the next morning talking about it and agreeing that it was one of the better movies we have seen in a long time.

  1. I read the book a couple years ago and I've been meaning to watch the movie. I'll definitely have to get a copy and give it a watch - if it's anything like the book, it has to be excellent.

  8. Spotlight is a must watch to. It was the underdog and they scored best picture at the Oscars. I've seen it twice now.
I loved Room it was so good and really emotional when she is left alone in room.

  11. Oh gosh, I've been wanting to see this, but I just don't know if I can handle it... I've gotten to the point where I only want to watch light, happy, and funny things because there's already so much bad stuff in the real world. I really may just have to watch, though, because I've heard amazing things!

  16. It was such a wonderful movie. One that stays with you for a long time and makes you think hard about so many different things. The acting is brilliant. That being said.... was so hard to watch at times, just incredibly heartbreaking. I was tearing up throughout. Good rec.
