Here's what we've seen recently if you are looking for some thoughts on movies. This is definitely not a formal "review" because I'm just not that fancayyyyy.
In The Theater:
Jurassic World was surprisingly entertaining and good! If it were left to me, our Thursday night date nite probably would not have included razor-toothed raptors, but Ian and I were shocked at how much we enjoyed this flick. It had some fun throwbacks to the original movie, and it had some parts that were quite funny. Some pretty cheesy lines, too, but that was okay with us.
And I mean.... HEY NOWWWW.
If you get a chance to see this one, I'd say go for it!
At Home:
We saw the previews for Maggie and figured we'd give it a shot. We checked it out from Redbox Saturday night. It has Schwarzenegger in it, and it's safe to say that Ian is a fan and I am just lukewarm about him (if that). But we both enjoyed seeing him in a more gentle, protective, soft-spoken role where he's not crushing metal with his bare hands. It was refreshing to see this side of him. And Abigail Breslin (of Little Miss Sunshine fame) was very good in the role. Certain parts were slow and quiet but overall we thought it was a pretty interesting movie. Nothing crazy good or life-changing, but just entertaining for a low-key evening.
Hit me up with some movie suggestions ... whether it's in the movie theater or rentable, we are always looking for something worthwhile to turn on!
We loved Jurassic World! I've been wanting to see Maggie too. Maybe we will rent it soon! Thanks for the reviews! ;)

ReplyDeleteWe're a little behind and just rented The Judge (free right now if you have HBO)... but it was a really powerful, good movie with great acting. I want to see Trainwreck in the theater too! We'll see ;)
ReplyDeleteMy best friend and I went and saw the kid's movie Inside Out and I loved that! I was laughing & crying...and she is the pregnant one! haha! Seems like my hubby and I have watched quite a few movies we liked lately; Cut Bank, St. Vincent, Focus & Chef to name a few :)
ReplyDeleteWe loved Jurassic World!! We thought it was more comical than the other movies and it was neat how they brought in the old movies :)
ReplyDeleteWe saw The Woman in Gold the other night (at home) & it was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWe just watched the movie Homefront on Netflix and both really liked it....fairly suspenseful.
ReplyDeleteWe just went to our dollar cinema and saw "The Age of Adeline", and I really liked it!
ReplyDeleteWe just watched TWO redbox movies this past weekend- movies are incredibly rare for us as well so that was definitely something different from our norm. We watched Wild and Focus and actually really enjoyed them both.
ReplyDeleteI can't even remember the last time I made it to a movie theatre! The last movie I watched was Baggage Claim. It was a cute little rom-com.
ReplyDeleteFinally a simple to understand information, appreciated!

I and my friend went to the cinema to watch Jurrasic world-2. We bought popcorns, nachos, drinks for the movie. the movie was amazing I loved the way they put funny moments in the movie. I saw an ad for ACCOUNTING DISSERTATION WRITING SERVICE at the back of the food court. I called that given number but nobody answered. I hope he will get back to me soon.
