Five On Friday

It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join me, DarciChristina, and Natasha!

Remember, all you have to do is post about five things on your mind, add our logo (found at the bottom of this post), and join the party using the linky tools below. Easy, and a great way to find new blogs and be found. :)

The weather has been lovely this week - sunny and warm for the most part! Yesterday was just a bit crisp but it was the perfect time for me to break out my new seersucker vest from The Palm Tree Boutique. Love this cute vest which is perfect for transitional weather. They have it in blue seersucker, like I have, and also in pink seersucker. I adore it! Now, should I get it monogrammed?!

So, I am already getting really excited about Camille's Easter basket (which is d-o-n-e!) and she has quite a few fun treats in her basket. I considered all types of Easter basket options and was prepared to spend a pretty penny on a timeless one, when I found a green felt basket with a pink gingham tulip applique on it for $4.99 at Walgreens. I snagged it and went ahead and bought plastic eggs, grass, and other basket fillers at the same time. Sooooo unlike me to just scratch it off the list and actually make it easy on myself. But I'm loving knowing that her basket is filled and done!

One very appropriate item found in her Easter basket?
These.
Can never have enough these days.

When I was little, on special occasions my sisters and I used to love ordering a Vanilla Coke from TGI Fridays. Guess what is super easy to recreate at home ... and tasty, too? I put about a tablespoon of vanilla extract over ice and top with Diet Coke. DONE AND DONE.

Happy Friday, and soak up every minute of this weekend!

TGIF y'all, and hope you will join in on Five on Friday this week! Cheers to the weekend!

  1. THAT PINK VEST! LOVE! Sweet Camille is adorable, as always.
And hooray for finishing her basket. I have mine finished as well. It's such a relief! Easter comes so early this year.

  2. I love that vest, yes have it monogrammed! I also love vanilla cola and will definitely be trying that. We don't really do Easter Baskets over here but we do buy little gifts from the Easter Bunny, we should put them in a basket! Have a lovely weekend xx

  6. I have been planning my daughter's Easter basket as well, but I did spend a pretty penny on it. But like a girlfriend of mine said, divide it up over 18 years and it's like $3 a year! Great thinking when explaining the purchase at Pottery Barn to my husband! :) Hope you have a great weekend!

  11. You can never go wrong with a monogram - especially on seersucker. Monogram that vest, sweet girl! Super cute:) I'm glad to hear that you went the simpler route with the Easter basket. I drove myself c-r-a-z-y trying to figure out what to do for Caleb's first Easter basket last year. I ended up just ordering a basket that I loved from Pottery Barn when it was on sale, but never purchased a liner or anything (like everyone does these days). And you know what? I was perfectly happy with just the plain basket full of goodies. And so was Caleb:) And Camille will love hers - which I'm sure is adorable. Happy Friday!:)

  13. So let's start with LOVE THAT VEST! I want! I picked up the stuffings for Lawter's Easter basket already, but am stuck on the basket part, because like you, I've been struggling with getting some nice that we'll keep. I think I'm going to hold off on that, we want more kids so maybe that's something I'll start later and will pick up the cute 99 cent scalloped one I saw at Party City instead : ) We've been tearing through some Boogie Wipes around here too- esp since she now fights the nasal aspirator with a vengeance!!
