NC Coffee, Delivered To Your Door.

So we all love monthly subscription boxes and there are beaucoups of them out there -- makeup, hand-selected clothes, animal goodies, "green" boxes, baby boxes, and the list goes on.

One that I'm pretty excited about is Coffee Crate, a North Carolina based coffee delivery service that features locally-brewed java. Subscribers receive three 4-oz. coffee packages each month, all from NC roasters.

I received my first box in December and wanted to share a little about this fun delivery.

Coffee Crate

First thing I saw upon opening the box? A chocolate chip cookie. Okay, Coffee Crate people -- you know the way to my heart.

A description card of the box contents was helpful for me. I'm not one of those people who can take a whiff of beans and say "mmmm ... is that black currant I'm picking up on?" :) So this was a big help.

This description card would even be fun to put in a little frame by your coffeemaker/coffee station if you were having guests in town and wanted them to be able to select their coffee easily.

It seems like a fair amount of people have a Keurig or other pod-based coffee maker these days ... we certainly live by our Keurig K45. In this case, you can just use these reusable and refillable pods for $3/each. That way, you can still have the ease of pod coffee but you can enjoy fresher, more flavorful coffee than the traditional coffee pods you find on the shelf. I mean ... how long have they been sitting there?

The website is currently offering $5 off for submitting your email address, and you can choose between 1, 3, 6, and 12 month delivery schedules.

North Carolina certainly has some awesome coffee, and I just love that this box highlights this trade. Cheers (with a big cup of joe), Coffee Crate!
