Size of Baby: A honeydew melon (18 inches). Our baby weighs 5.25 lbs now.
Gender: Our sweet little girl.
Weight Gain: Down a pound this week strangely enough, but still up a total of 17 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight -- since I lost three pounds in the first trimester, up 20 pounds total from my lowest pregnancy weight.
Maternity Clothes: Yep. Definitely. The maxi dress I'm wearing is from Old Navy (here) and it's on a great sale now. Normally $34.94, it's now $19 and they are giving 15% off now with the code KICK. I find that it fits true to size -- mine is an XS (I'm a shorty). It even has a slit up one side which I love! Slipping a dress over my head is way easier than worrying about getting pants on.
Sleep: Sleeping well, only getting up occasionally in the middle of the night, maybe 1-2 times a week. When I'm awake, though, the potty breaks are happening all of the time.
Cravings: Still loving sweet tea and peanut butter cups. Ian was sad to see the damage that had been done on the Girl Scout cookies he bought for us to share. Whoops.

Best Moment This Week: Spending the weekend with my aunt in the nursery. That was perfect. We just had the best time together and the room makes me so happy. Also, we had a great prenatal meeting with our doula last night -- I know I haven't mentioned much about the fact that we are using one, but I will share more details. She is the perfect match for us, and I know she is going to be a priceless addition to our labor and delivery experience.
Looking Forward To: My sweet coworkers are hosting a beautiful baby shower for me Thursday evening!
You still look absolutely adorable and you are ALL belly!
ReplyDeleteI love to hear that you are using a Doula. I've had many girlfriends use them and just adore them. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts and experience.
You're in the home stretch girl!
I think you look stunning. I dig that dress/necklace combo. I can't wait for the nursery reveal!
ReplyDeleteI love that you're so open & honest! I think that's a valid thought/fear... I know it will be for me & I'm not even pregnant yet! HAHA! But, you do look gorgeous!! I bet you'll bounce back in no time!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I think you look FAB!! The little lady will be here soon :)! Xx.
ReplyDeleteI hated the comments at that stage too.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I remember getting to week 36 and thinking....IT CAN BE ANY MINUTE!! Uh, no. I went to week 41 :((( think of how long that is to only get bigger by the day!! SHENANIGANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This around exactly the time I started resenting being in public for all of the sideways glances and heartfelt "Are you due tomorrow?" questions. Pregnancy rage went into overdrive. I remember, vividly, wanting to punch a lady in CVS for talking to me for over a minute about how she was sure I was on my way to the hospital (I was 36 weeks). People are just trying to be nice, I guess, but dang. Your sweet little girl's kicks can help temper the madness!! I used to talk to her about it at night and try to just remember to be thankful. You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous. Hang in there, you are in the home stretch!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!! Love that maxi dress!

ReplyDeletelove that dress! you look great! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You look so good carrying around your little honeydew melon :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great, sweet girl! I remember getting to that point with my son, and just thinking "how much bigger can this belly get?" But don't be too worried about your post-baby body. You will be just fine. You were in shape before the baby, and have stayed in shape during the pregnancy, so you will bounce back quickly! I was back in my non-maternity pants a week after giving birth and you will be too!:)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why you aren't getting the "you're so adorable" comments because you are still super adorbs!!! Hang in there, you're almost done!!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking amazing and your little girl is going to be here soon! Seriously, you really are the cutest pregnant lady ever.
ReplyDeleteYou look great and it has been so fun following along on your journey. You're gonna do great mama!!

ReplyDeleteWhy do people feel that it is ok to stare at pregnant ladies or worse say things that they never should!?! But you are almost there dear, so hang in! It will all be worth it in the end!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful! Pregnancy really does look good on you!
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning! I was shocked with how much your body changes, especially during the last part - but after having two girls it has made me really appreciate how amazing our bodies truly are. You will love having a doula! It was the best decision we ever made.
