Wedding Weekend Recap

This past weekend we attended the wedding of my cousin Drew and his new wifey, Cameron!

They got married Sunday, so we drove into Raleigh for the rehearsal dinner on Saturday night.  It was in Cary (a neighboring town) at An Restaurant, which had really amazing Asian fusion cusine.  The sea bass was smooth as silk -- perfect.  And my aunt and uncle arranged shuttle vans to transport all of us to and from the hotel.

When we got back to the hotel, we wanted to keep the party going -- so we all hopped in pedi-cabs and headed to a rooftop bar in Raleigh.  We danced all night long!  There were some seriously crazy shenanigans going on.  :)

The wedding was at 4:00 on Sunday at Cobblestone Hall with the reception right afterwards in the same spot.  We also had our wedding and reception in the same place (as did my sister) and it makes it so easy and convenient for out-of-towners who may not be familar with the area.

The newlyweds leave today for Playa del Carmen, Mexico, which is one of my very favorite spots I've ever visited.  Cheers to my cousin Drew and my new cousin-in-law, Cameron!

Out of towners totally love it and 75% of everyone at our wedding was from out of town!

  3. I feel like the rehearsal dinners are always nuts! People aren't as on good as behavior as on the actual wedding day. I know I had some eventful rehearsal dinner evenings!

  5. If I could share the RELIEF and HAPPINESS in Grandy's voice when we told her the ceremony and reception were all at the same place.... oooh boy. It's just SO easy and so convenient. Plus, we're getting married at a hotel -- you don't even have to drive to/from all of the fun! :)

Also, please tell me a bit about that green clutch...
