Monday

Weekending.

What I wouldn't give to have a longer weekend!  The days are just so gorgeous this time of year, and I spent lots of time outside this weekend, soaking it all up.

Friday evening, I went on a long neighborhood walk with a girlfriend and her sweet baby, and then we relaxed on her back porch with a glass of wine.  I guess the time passed quickly, because next thing I know, Ian was texting her husband saying "Tell mah wife I'm hongry for some SUPPAH" (verbatim).  So back home I went to cook my husband a mouthwatering dinner, and by that, I mean that I called in a supreme pizza for pick-up.

Saturday there was an estate sale around the corner from where I live, and I ended up with some fun little finds!  I'll be sharing photos soon.  Are you an estate sale shopper?

That night we cooked out with friends -- burgers and sweet potato fries.  For an appetizer, I brought over deviled eggs ... I used the basic recipe but added blue cheese to the filling and placed a sliced pepperoncini on top of each egg.

Sunday consisted of yardwork galore.  We planted flowers and several more azaleas (why oh why doesn't my yard look like Amen Corner at the Augusta National?!?).

As the evening wound down, I sat out on the patio with a glass of red and my iPad with the doors leading to the house wide open.  I listened to my husband cheer on Adam Scott as he strived to earn the coveted green jacket.  It was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.

Happy Monday, ya'll, and get ready for a really exciting giveaway coming your way tomorrow!

  9. I adore Adam Scott. He really has been a fave of mine since 2003! So I have been rooting for him for a while. I love a nice glass of vino at the end of a day, too.

(I am going on a comment frenzy to distract myself from this Boston news. I will totally fall apart if I follow it too much.)
