Wednesday Confessions

Sometimes you just gotta put it all out there.
Time for a little "I Confess" session!

I confess...
If you open my closet, you will see that 90% of it is kept neatly.
The other 10% consists of clean clothes stacked up in a messy pile on the floor.
What, I'm running out of hangers! (aka: I buy more often than I donate)
I then end up re-washing the wrinkled, clean clothes.  Wasteful.

I confess...
I love to slip a few ice cubes in a glass of white wine.
Very rarely at a restaurant.  Rarely, but not never.
Many times at home.  Many.

I Confess

I confess...
I've killed more plants than those I've kept alive.
This thumb is just not green.
Working on it.  It's a process.

I confess...
Sometimes, a lot of times, I wish I had been a teacher.
Elementary School.
Or a dermatologist.  Or a masseuse.
I also would love to work at The Fresh Market.  Check-out lane girl.
(A fancy-schmancy grocery store to those of you who don't have it.)

Am I alone in these confessions?
Please humor me ... let me know!

Linking up today with Confessions of a Northern Belle.

  1. I love this! Ya gotta keep it real! I'm with you on my closet and my need for more freaking hangers!!

And, I too have been known to throw a few ice cubes in my wine. ;)

  2. Amen on the ice cubes in wine.

  3. With you on the plant-killing. It's pathetic. I have to specifically buy ones that require little to no effort now to have any hope of keeping them alive.

  4. Haha, I've often thought of what a nice job Fresh Market checkout girl would be!

  8. Funny. Too much in common - especially the plant killing (I am THE worst - I even killed a cactus plant one time - who does that?), the ice cubes in wine and the teacher wish (I wish I had become a yoga teacher sometimes). I confess that I will even put a cube of ice in my glass of red sometimes. I find red wine is usually served too warm (red should be just slightly below room temp, IMO).

    Good ones!

  9. I'm out of hangers too! I made a deal with myself that each time I buy something new I have to donate something in order to find a hanger!
I'm working on the whole "green thumb" thing too. :)

  10. With you on ice cubes in wine. I mean, please - if we added a slice of orange alongside the ice people would call it "sangria" so what's the big deal?

  11. You should try frozen grapes in your wine!

  12. I can say with 100% confidence that I am also 100% guilty of cofession number one!

  13. I love this. It's such a great idea for a blog post. I may end up stealing the idea, haha.

Also, I noticed on your sidebar under your guest posts, that the URL is no longer correct for the post you wrote on my blog. If you replace the sweetnothings part with http://choosingjoy7.blogspot.com/ and leave the ending the same it should be correct. I can find it for you if you like.

  14. Ice cubes in wine. ALL the time, no matter where I am. My closet must be at all times, Perfect, black on clear plastic, green on green plastic hangers, and all the other colors also, must match the hangers. and all are hung in groups. Drives me insane when I get one mixed up. Nuts,I know, but can't help myself..ha

  15. Ice in wine is fine in my book! And helps it stay chilled so that is a YES!

And I'm horrible about keeping piles of clothes on the floor until I find them a proper home ;)

  16. I kill a lot of plants too. Matt is a skilled gardener so i just make him handle that!!

  17. Can you come organize my closet? I like ice cubes in my white wine in the summer...with a little seltzer and some fruit!

Thanks for linking up!! Hope you come back again soon :)

  18. I put ice in my wine all the time and I usually take it directly from my water glass. I even put ice in my beer. No shame..I have even done this on first dates. I just like my drinks super cold. :)

  19. My husband doesn't understand how I am OCD about my closet but yet have a pile of clean clothes. I am a math teacher and sometimes I secretly wish I would have been a dentist or a lawyer. Grass is always greener right?

  20. I always keep a ton of clean clothes in a laundry basket and pull fresh workout clothes from there.

I also kill most plants and really wish I could grow a vegetable garden.

  21. I have a mint plant that my rommate always has to water because I never do...I think I've killed it 3 times now.

I am new follower and blogger! Would love if you stopped by!

  22. I totally have a pile of clothes on my closet floor. But it's probably much worse than yours! haha.

I was going to be a teacher in college but then I changed my major my junior year. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision...

  23. I do the same thing with white wine (and occasionally red oops!)

  24. I'm with you on the closet thing. We have a little window seat in the closet and I'm guilty of piling clean things on there and then they get wrinkled. And career-wise, I'm a lawyer who frequently daydreams about being an elementary school librarian!

  25. Sometimes I am with you on the closet lane. But I often wish I had a job at Whole Foods or The Fresh Market in the bakery or cheese counter. Sigh...

  26. Sometimes I wish I was a dermatologist too. I'd have perfect skin!
