Laura's Bachelorette Party In Savannah

It's taken a while for me to recap this past weekend in Savannah ... so many fun memories!  We had the best time celebrating my youngest sister as the bride-to-be.

Several months back, I started looking around at some homes to rent.  I came across this 3-story historic townhome that was perfect for our group.  It slept our group of 10 comfortably, had plenty of living space, and was so elegant and girly.  Plus, it was in walking distance of just about anything we wanted to do!

In the foyer, I decorated with Laura's framed invitation and her new (soon enough!) monogram.

Friday evening, all of the girls were arriving at different times, and we wanted to keep it low-key and enjoy the house.  Each girl brought an appetizer to share, and we sat at the hugely long table and made a dinner of it.

I made baked brie with brown sugar and Kahlua, and I also had a co-worker to put together this cake pop arrangement to coordinate with Laura's invitation colors.

We also gave Laura a shower on Friday night where she ended up with lots of pretties.

We sipped on white sangria that I made and went out on the rooftop patio.

The next morning, we had the most delicious brunch prepared by Laura's future sister-in-law, Angela.  She made a breakfast casserole, fruit & donut hole skewers, and mimosas.

After breakfast, we loaded up in the car and headed to Tybee Island for an afternoon on the beach.

Saturday night was our big night out.  We all got ready and poured a drink, then we headed up to the 3rd floor living room for a little game.

I'd emailed Laura's fiance to ask several questions.  She had to guess what he answered.  The bride was right?  We took a sip.  The bride was wrong?  She took a sip.

After she dominated that game, we all got ready to leave the house and walk to dinner.

By the way ... spot the plastic cups below?  Savannah is a road-toddy-friendly city!

This dinner place, Jazz'd, came highly recommended, and for a good reason.  The tapas-style dinner was perfect for our group, and the food was delicious.

We even partook in a few of these, which shall remain nameless.  I don't need that kind of traffic coming to my blog from Google searches, no thank you.

Sarah (our middle sis) readied her napkin.

Another spot-on recommendation given to us was to check out Rocks On The Roof, the rooftop bar at the Bohemian hotel.

We convinced some strapping young men to parade the bride on their shoulders through the bar...

... and convinced another man, who is not a mustache-sporter, a sunglasses-wearer, or a chef (but whose identity shall be concealed thanks to some photo editing), to return from the restroom with something in tow.

Yep.  It was that kind of night.

Lastly, we ended up at Savannah Smiles, a dueling piano bar that is a bachelorette party mecca.

The next morning in the hallway were tell-tale signs of a successful girls' night out.

But we rallied, and we walked to a brunch at Belford's which provided much-needed cheesy omelets and gourmet burgers for us girls.  And water.  Lots of water.

And now the countdown is on ... Laura will officially become LCC in a matter of weeks!

  32. I found the house and rented for the Bachelorette I'm planning - link following post. I spent a month looking for a house to accommodate a group of 10, and this was by far the best deal for the size, price and location. I go in early October - hopefully the house lives up to the positive reviews I've seen! So far the owners have been GREAT to work with. http://www.vrbo.com/146788#rates
