Celebrations.

It's a warm, sunny Friday Eve over here and I am just having a great day.  The weekend is on the horizon with beautiful weather, lots of yard work, and not a thing to do in the evenings.  I'll take it.

I have a little extra pep in my step because of something good that happened yesterday.  My manager, who normally works remotely from her home office, was in our office yesterday.  Both conference rooms were being used and she asked me to come back to the warehouse with her for a confidential talk.  My palms immediately went sweaty -- why do we always expect the worst?  Well, she actually let me know that I was getting a raise.

My father was in town last night and he stayed at our house.  During dinner, Ian and Dad toasted my good news.  It was so special.

And more cause for celebration -- this little blog has grown to 400 followers ... I couldn't be happier!  Thank you all for joining along with me.  To make it even better, the number clicked from 399 to 400 with the writer of one of my newest favorite blogs, Erin from The Swanky Southern Yankee.
