Today Ian and I are boarding a plane to head to Cleveland, Ohio! We've got our bags packed, our minibottles stashed for the flight, our game faces on, and our high-tech alarm system set (ahem, scary blog stalkers, thats for you).
Ian grew up in a town right outside of Cleveland and some of his very best buddies still live there. A lot of them have their own families now and we are excited about catching up with all of them.
Tonight we're headed to an Indians baseball game, where we'll cheer on the Tribe. Ian said he is going to treat me to a new baseball cap. :) Really, he's just trying to replace the Red Sox cap I currently wear that he knows was bought for me by an ex. Can ya blame him? I will happily sub it out.
Saturday we'll head to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum which is just beautiful.
Sunday we'll catch a Cleveland Browns game before heading home!
So yes, between baseball, rock & roll, and football, I think Ian totally needs to go see The Help with me this coming week. Agreed? :)
I'm excited to see where my main man grew up. Have a great weekend yourself!
PS - This morning I treated myself to my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season ... bliss! Have you had yours yet?
Have a fun trip!! Why don't I ever think to bring mini bottles for the plane?? I feel like such an amateur now!
ReplyDeleteYou're excited to see where he grew up? Um, have you never been up there for a visit before?! Have FUN!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip! That's pretty funny about the baseball cap!
ReplyDeleteI'm texting you! I didn't know he was from there! That's where our friends who we spent Labor Day with live.
ReplyDeleteYou should ask Ian about Kelleys Island too.. I'm sure he knows.
Have a blast!! We always do when there!!
Brad even said on his first visit. 'Who knew Ohio could be so much fun??' LOL!!
Pumpkin Spice Lattes...yum...love them this time of year! Hadn't thought about them yet but now I'm sure they'll be on the brain. Sounds like you all have a fun-filled trip. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteMy brother lives in Cleveland (Rocky River). I hope you enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteI live outside of Cleveland! Hope you have a phenomenal time! Tonight you should go out on East 4th street before the game. It's a really cute place that's always buzzing before baseball games. Chinato, Greenhouse Tavern, or Wonder Bar for more casual bites are my faves. I do love this city. ;)
ReplyDeletei had my first one of the season this morning, too--divine i tell you...although i had to go the 1/d caf to save caffeine for the baby--haha!!
ReplyDeleteNo way - I live in Cleveland! If you guys want a fun place to go out eat, you have to try Melt - it is my favorite place! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have an enjoyable weekend (and that the weather gets better!)
