Babe's In Dallas

My work travels take me to some pretty fun places.  It's hard to complain about traveling for business when you're in a city you actually enjoy.

Unless the pillows are hard, and then I reserve the right to pout.  :)

I've just returned from a quick 24-hour trip to Dallas to visit one of our clients.  Back at a blogger's brunch in March here in Charlotte (click here for the recap and pictures), I met Hopsy from Monograms and Manicures.  She was in town from Dallas and mentioned to me that on my next business trip there, she'd show me some REAL Texas cuisine.  Um, sold!

Emily, Hopsy, and me.  Oh, and the neon cowboy.

So on Monday night I met Hopsy and Emily from Champagne & Cupcakes at Babe's Chicken Dinner House.  This place is amazing.  There is no menu, just a recited list of fried delicacies that your waitress rattles off by memory.  I really don't think you can go wrong with any of their choices.

We feasted family-style on fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, the most delicious creamed corn ever, green beans, and melt-in-your-mouth buttery biscuits.  It was divine and a true taste of Texas.

And next time they promised to take me to a place with fantastic enchiladas and margaritas

If you want to check out Hopsy's post on our night at Babe's, you can find it right here.  Thanks girls for a fantastic introduction to Babe's and some really good girl time!
