Cinco de Mayo - Grapefruit Margarita Recipe!

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Did you know that I was a Spanish major?  Yep, and I did a concentration {which is like a minor} in Latin American Studies.  There, my friends, is your fun fact for the day.

Any big plans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo?  If so, how about whipping up some tasty grapefruit margaritas?

Grapefruit Margaritas
Yield: 4 cocktails

1 quart ruby red grapefruit juice
10 fresh mint leaves , torn in 1/2
2 shots orange liqueur
8 shots tequila

Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher, and stir to combine. Rim your glasses with a sugar/salt combo for a really nice treat.  Pour over ice and serve.  ¡Olé!

PS - My wedding planner has a wedding for today.  How fun!  Don't you wish you were going to a wedding this evening?!

  3. i want one of those!!! i'm having a Skinny Girl Margarita tonight, and it's quite good. Never knew too much about them, but I got a bottle for my birthday, and I figured today's a good day to crack it open. I highly suggest trying it!!
