Holiday Decor

Decorating for the holidays is one of my favorite things to do.  You've already seen our little Christmas tree (when we're in a more perminent place we're getting a large and REAL tree) and I'll be showing you some of my favorite ornaments at a later date.  Here's a glance at how I decorate for the Christmas season!

First things first, you must pour a glass of
champagne to properly decorate for
the holidays.

Ian & I both went to schools with purple as a school color - so come on in to our home with a welcoming purple wreath that I made!

I refinished this dresser to serve as an
entryway piece.  It collects our keys, gloves,
and coins.  The little tree with the burlap base
sits where a reed diffuser usually does.

As you come on up the steps, I've got some
faux pine garland mixed with feather garland.
You guessed it - the big bow is made from my
Bowdabra!  No shame!

These are pinecones from my parents' yard
that I spray painted white.  I added in a few
gold ornaments to the mix.

This little guy sits next to a picture of Ian & I
doing karaoke at a dive bar near my family's
lakehouse.  We killed that song.

This light fixture got the royal treatment -
matte gold ornaments hanging from ivory
and gold ribbon!  He hangs in the foyer and
can be seen by the 1st and 2nd floors.

You're not done with your champagne yet, are you???  Refill time!
