Wrapping up March ... this has been an awesome month for The Tipsy Bunny hairbows! We have also sold so many felt bunnies and some gorgeous bonnets as well! You can always find us on Instagram - @thetipsybunny.

I have a little assistant these days, a 23 month old "maker" who loves coming over to my chair and saying "uppp mama, uppp peez." So, if you've received a hairbow this month, it's probably been made with a child in my lap. I love that she loves being part of the process, and it keeps me on my toes to keep her fingers away from my sewing needle and hot glue gun!

Speaking of wrapping up March, our Seminar year for LipSense ends tomorrow so a lot of us are reaching for big goals today and tomorrow! To help us, the company emailed us late last night offering FREE tubes of these two top-selling colors with qualifying purchases!

Distributor girlfriends -- how amazing?!

And if you've been thinking about joining us as a distributor, now would seriously be an awesome time -- this order would be 50% off retail price, PLUS those two freebies. If you sell them, it will essentially cover your $55 joining fee. Our team is 143 strong and growing like wildfire ... a true sisterhood. :)

LOFT is 40% off now with code HELLO! I've loved hearing from many of you who have snagged some of their pieces in this gorgeous Camellia print! I am loving the maternity shell in this print that I purchased.

We've swapped out most of the brass hardware in our bathrooms for polished nickel, BUT if you still have brass in your bathroom and are looking to modernize it a bit, check out these amazing fixtures I fell in love with. I mean - the toilet paper holder?! Have you ever?!

Disney Jr. Dance Party Live ... Totally Cute.

Sunday afternoon I had tickets to take Camille to the Disney Jr. Dance Party Live, and oh my goodness it blew her mind! They did a fantastic job with it -- it was adorable.

Characters there included Elena of Avalor. Vampirina, The Lion Guard, Doc McStuffins, Sofia, and of course Mickey, Minnie and Gang!

Camille loves these "Mama and Mill-Mill" days as we call them, and I sure do, too.

Thanks y'all for pushing me to #treatyoself with this floral maternity top from Loft! I shared some videos of it yesterday on my Instastories if you're wanting to see it in a little more detail.

I checked my favorite sale-alert site Retail Me Not this morning to see if LOFT was running any deals to pass along to y'all, and looks like several of their tops today are 30% or 40% off. The maternity top isn't included in that, BUT the non-maternity version is.

Wednesdays are the day that I have some solo morning time with Camille while Charlotte is at Mother's Morning Out. I've made it a goal to do something special with her each Wednesday, and this week we played with her Bristle Blocks.

If you aren't familiar with these, they are an easy $15 grab from Amazon and they are AWESOME. She also loves Legos (Duplos) these days, but if Charlotte wants to play blocks with her these are even easier because they don't have to be lined up as precisely.

I've been watching two guilty-pleasure shows ... Summer House (Bravo) and Married At First Sight (Lifetime). Summer House took me about 2-3 episodes to really get into but I just love it now. And Married At First Sight ... three couples are set up by matchmakers/psychologists and LEGALLY married. They first meet each other at the end of the aisle. At the end of eight weeks, they can either have the marriage annulled or they can choose to continue on.

Anyone else watching these?

Thanks to SO many of you for your support in the Usborne Battle of the Hostesses competition I've been participating in! Today's the last day to comment/engage in the Facebook group (no cost and it earns me amazing hostess points!) and make any purchases HERE.

We three hostesses are competing for up to $100 in free books for our little ones!

Camille's reading That's Not My Lamb here. Even though it's great for younger ages, since the words are really easy to remember, she now "reads" it.

And below are some of the books on my wishlist!

Speaking of kiddos, has anyone tried the free 30-day trial yet of Amazon FreeTime? I've been super interested in this. I love that it's broken down by age range and that you can easily set time limits and accessibility. It encompasses books, videos, and apps.

I think this sounds great for Camille, especially since she gets a little screentime while I'm getting ready for the day.

Click here to give the trial a shot: free 30-day trial

Thursday

Thursday Happies

It's Thurssssssday!

Camille's at school and Charlotte and I are about to head out to her weekly My Gym class. I do think it's been positive for her walking, but we also think (hope!!!!) that her upcoming eye surgery will really be the ticket for progress in that area. We can't imagine what it's like to try to figure out the whole walking thing when your two eyes are sending mixed signals about balance, distance, depth to your brain!

A few Thursday happies!

1) My LOFT floral top that was supposed to be delivered Friday actually arrived yesterday! How's that for underpromise and overdeliver! YAY. I'll try it on later today on Instastories. It's soooo pretty!

2) I am gearing up for a trip with LipSense to Tulsa, Oklahoma! I know a few of you mentioned the other day that you're from/in the area ... would love any recommendations you have! So much of our time will be spent in trainings and parties so I'm not sure how much free time I'll have, but it's my first trip there and I want to do it right! I found out yesterday that I will get some recognition there that I'm really jazzed about for meeting certain goals -- SO exciting!

3) The Usborne books party that I'm a cohostess for (BATTLE of three hostesses to win up to $100 in free books!) has been extended through tomorrow night because it's been C-L-O-S-E! Outside of purchases, I can earn hostess points by having you join the event and comment under my photo that you're there to support me! Any interaction you can give would mean SO much! HERE is the link!

Hostess Battle ... With Books!

Recently I've chatted a bit with y'all about Usborne books and the ones we have that we LOVE.

I just had an opportunity to join in on a one-day BATTLE OF THE HOSTESSES Facebook party where I'm up against two other hostesses to win $100 in books for our home!

and ... it's today!
(direct shopping link here - I'd love it if you would help me win!)

Being that the majority of our books have "Princess," "Sparkles," or "Fancy" in the title, I think it's about time for us to beef up Baby Boy's bookshelf with some new reads. He'll still have no option but to love and embrace Pinkalicious and Fancy Nancy, because they ARE the best, but at least we can maybe add some brand new books just for him.

This book "All Better" is a favorite, but we also love the "That's Not My _____" series! They have lots of different interactive textures and are great for multiple age ranges.

Picture of That's Not My Lamb  Picture of That's Not My Puppy

Books in that series above are $9.99 so they won't break the bank and they are just such high quality ... if they are indestructible in our home, that says a lot!

Anyway, I can really stand behind these books -- they are interactive and engaging. These would make wonderful holiday gifts, birthday party gifts, or baby shower gifts. You can't go wrong to have a few on hand for that "I need a present NOW!" moment that we all have from time to time!

So, how do you get started perusing?
  • Join this Facebook group so that you can partake in games, learn some quick facts about the books, and maybe even win something!
  • Or, shop the site directly under my hostess number HERE (for those of you who are just ready to browse and/or purchase)

My personal "top 5" wishlist this time around:

Animally - I flipped through a few of the pages of this and it's all about the love you feel for who you're reading to! Absolutely adorable.

Picture of Animally

Secrets of the Vegetable Garden - You hold the pages of this book up to the light to reveal some hidden pictures! I love this! Many other book themes in this same "Shine-A-Light" genre.

Picture of Secrets of the Vegetable Garden - Shine-a-Light

Nursery Rhymes - a perfect book for our new baby! Classic nursery rhymes!

Picture of Nursery Rhymes (Very First)

Lift-the Flap Shapes - My girls love anything with flaps and hidden scenes, and this one is a great standard.

Picture of Lift-the-Flap Shapes

Nibbles: The Book Monster - Mischievous Nibbles works his way through three fairy tales and changes the outcome of each. This is from their Top Sellers category!

So, I hope you'll join us on FACEBOOK today to cast your vote for me as the "hostess with the mostest" ... the one who will earn lots of new amazing books for our growing family! Please hop over and comment that you're there for me so I can see your amazing face and thank you :) and if you do decide to place an order, HERE'S the website and all orders placed Wednesday help me get one step closer to that goal!

Tuesday This And That // First Day Of Spring!

Happy, happy, happy happyyyyyy first day of spring!

THANK YOU for pushing me to just treat myself to this floral LOFT top, I ordered it last Friday night! Looks like it's set to arrive this weekend. I can't wait for it to come in -- many of you brought up the great point that although I have a little less than 3 months left of maternity clothes, it's also a style that will be great postpartum!

I've got an Oklahoma trip coming up in a month and I figure this will be a fun little top to wear with leggings for travel. So if you want to treat yourself as well, don't forget to use code HAPPY today for big discounts!

LOVE the print, DON'T need maternity? They have it in other styles and sizes too - HERE

(Confession: Just added this one to my cart, too. It's under $10 - and then a little over $6 once code HAPPY is applied - I meannnnn, how cute with that petite ruffle around the neck)

We've been staying busy and are currently knee-deep in tax prep (ugh) but also looking forward to Easter, baby sprinkles, new babies (my nephew will be here in about a month!) and decorating our new patio area. We had a larger stone patio laid several weeks back and have just been letting the grass grow back in around it before we swoop back in with a medium-sized landscaping project. I want to add some really nice and fragrant evergreens like gardenias to the area closest to the table on the patio.

This is wayyyyy more intricate and elaborate of a landscaping plan than we are doing, but what a gorgeous inspiration photo! Just great heights, great texture variance, and a lovely array of colors.

A little patch of lawn goes a long way when designed to roll alongside a dimensional cut stone patio. We love the contrast of the dark charcoal stone and sharp green grass.

We use a nursery around the corner for our plants as well as some local installers -- it's not inexpensive, but it's so worth it for the outcome and for the value we are adding into the house. I've learned so much just by stopping by the nursery and talking with my dedicated guy there ... he's gotten me to step out of my comfort zone of Home Depot plants and try some species I wouldn't have purchased otherwise!

Signing off now for breakfast with the girlies before Camille heads out to preschool for the morning! I've got groceries to shop for, and eggs to stuff for Charlotte's preschool egg hunt!

Monday

Quick Trip to Greenville, SC

Saturday morning, my brother-in-law and I swapped homes ... he came to Charlotte to hang with Ian and watch a little basketball, and I took the girls to Greenville SC to visit my sister and nephew!

Greenville is a super quick trip -- about an hour and 45 minutes away. We met straight at the Greenville Zoo which is the perfect-sized zoo. Not too overwhelming, but still lots of great animals like monkeys, lions, giraffes!

Afterwards we hopped to nearby Willy Taco for a delicious lunch. The kids, waiting patiently for a table ... haha! They were actually great and took down their cheese quesadillas like champs!

Laura and I spied someone with this delicious drink, and decided to try the non-tequila versions of them. Equally as delicious! Coconut Lime Margaritas ... find a copycat version HERE

For the tacos I went with the pulled BBQ pork and the fried avocado. Delicious!

We were home in time for afternoon naps, and later that day we just played outside and enjoyed the sunshine. After the kids were in bed we made flatbreads on garlic naan and experimented more with the copycat coconut lime margaritas. :)

A quick but awesome trip!

Five On Friday! Sand, Blouses, Springtime Fun!

It's time for another edition of Five on Friday and I do hope you'll join along!

I posted a few Instastories yesterday about the kinetic sand we played with after nap. It's by National Geographic and you can Amazon Prime it HERE. Grab three bags and it will be delivered same day (at least here in Charlotte).

It comes in some really fun and funky colors and the toy molds are included. After we played with it, I put it all in a Ziploc bag to keep it from getting dirt or pollen in it since we are keeping it outside on the screened porch.

Great sensory activity, fun for all ages, and cleanup is easy because the sand sticks to itself so you can literally grab handfuls of it to put it away.

Our table is the Cra-Z-Sand brand but to be honestly you could use a large Tupperware, a rimmed baking sheet, a water table, a foil baking dish, you name it!

The girls did a wonderful job on their suppers last night and received a fun and sweet treat -- fresh strawberries, some whipped cream and a drizzle of honey. Ate it right up!

There's been a LOFT maternity top that's been sitting in my cart and haunting, taunting me. It was 40% off (and of course it's not now) and it is just SO lovely. I'm three months shy of my due date, which does give me plenty of time to get in a handful of uses, but man oh man, should I just make my Target tees and tanks cut it for this home stretch?

The front is a different material than the back (same print though), and the back has this delicious little keyhole back with a little tie at the upper neck. Ahhhdorable.

And for post-maternity, I'm keeping THESE two items in my cart. They are my two favorites on the site now. Both are available in lots of sizes currently AND 40% off today with no code needed.
