Weekend Recap - Lots Of Good Baby Time.

I love weekends with no plans (or very little plans). My husband said a few times that we should have packed up and gone to the mountains this past weekend, but to be honest, I was happy as a clam right in our own home.

Friday night we played with the baby until it was bathtime and bedtime, and then Ian and I enjoyed some lettuce-wrap burgers and we made Moscow Mules using the copper mugs my sisters gave me as Christmas stocking gifts.

Saturday our big outing was to Park Road Shopping Center where we just walked around and popped into some of the shops. Blackhawk Hardware, Michaels, Onward Reserve -- and then we wrapped up with the grocery store where we picked up items for beef enchiladas.

Sunday morning started off with a pediatrician visit (thank goodness for weekend hours). We thought Camille's ear infection was worsening due to some ear-pulling we witnessed that morning. She was on day 8 of antibiotics. Fortunately (I guess?) the doctor said that her right ear was still perfect and the left ear was almost all the way back to normal. He said the ear-pulling and fussiness was likely due to her third tooth which was making an appearance. I am the worst at being able to tell when teeth are coming in, and that baby sure doesn't like it when I try to look at her teeth!

Later, we went to the park with some friends and Camille went down a slide for the first time and also went in a swing! The weather here in Charlotte was just beautiful -- warm and windy.

That afternoon, we walked up to get some frozen yogurt only to find out that the shop is closed on Sundays -- so we changed our plans and walked over to our friends' home instead where we stayed until it was time to bring the baby home for dinner.

Hope your weekend was a wonderful one!

  8. What a GORGEOUS day, and Camille is just as cute as ever!! I love weekends with no plans...they always end up being the best! :) I am glad she's feeling better...I was always so bad at knowing when Cam was getting teeth vs. getting sick (as was his day care who sent him home so much)! Have a great week!!
